Title: 'Safe''/LEast toxic dental materials
Post by: political atheist on January 13, 2018, 01:46:05 am
Hi all,
What is the least toxic alternative to amalgam/mercury bridges, crowns, fillings and also what is the least toxic alternative to replace pulled out teeth?
What cement/glue is the least toxic, to glue the crowns/bridges on the teeth?
Thank you

Well, I was told to get ceramic tooth replaement instead of my previous mercury-amalgam. It did not make a difference to me when I did that, though.

I believe the worry with conventional mercury/amalgam fillings is that the mercury continues to exude minor quantities of mercury vapour which is poisonous to the brain above. I have a variety of fillings and a few crowns, but most recent fillings are buildups with epoxy resin using a blue laser to set each level of the fill. They set almost immediately, no problems with vapour, are very strong indeed, but, of course, are more expensive. A very good solution!
