Rotten Shark Meat in Iceland

These Icelanders share a secret shark recipe that goes back to Viking times: let it rot.

Eating Rotten Shark (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbYqznD0R5M#)

I'm curious as to why there seem to be no bugs/insects/maggots on the rotting meat. They seem to leave it wide open?? Is it too cold there?

@TylerDurden

Do you think a sticky thread for all high meat online videos would be good? It would probably help newbies (like me) to see that it is not such a strange thing after all. I've had such success with it in curing my crushing depressive/suicidal thoughts. It's pretty amazing.

Surstromming - Most disgusting food ever (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iebNdCSqWmc#ws)

"It's spelled Surströmming. It may smell bad but it tastes delicious with some sourcream and? red onions on Knäckebröd.

Well, OK, post such a topic in the Culinary Creations forum  with all the vids you want and I will later make it into a sticky topic.
