Title: New to raw animal foods
Post by: joej627 on September 29, 2011, 10:02:33 am
Hey guys and girls,

I have had health issues for quite awhile but am on an ever changing diet.  I am basically listening to my body for the most part and going where it leads.  I was very gluten-intolerant and went on a super low carb diet for awhile.  No grains, beans, etc.  Lately though, my digestion has healed and i am feeling more carbs and adding in some beans/grains in small amounts.  I definitely still need animal protein but in less amounts.  The thing that i notice though is the raw animal protein in general seems to be better for my health.  I don't have much experience yet with it all.  My brother and I do raw butter and a little raw goats milk here and there.  I am starting to add in some raw eggs.  Anyways, any tips for a new 25 year old male on how to ease into all this stuff?

-Joe

One thing that helped me out was going to a French restaurant and ordering steak tartare.
Then I went and got my own grass-feed meat, and I used the ground beef to make little raw hamburgers.
I mixed the meat like I would for regular hamburgers, garlic powder and onionds and stuff, then I topped the patties with sliced tomatoes and pickles and onions and stuff.  It was delicious.

I'd be really careful with the grains and legumes.

Try to get some raw seafoods, tasty ones like raw scallops and raw tuna.

Make sure you eat enough good raw fat.
