Title: Digestive Pain After Starting RPD
Post by: Fermenter Zym on November 10, 2011, 12:46:20 pm
I started RPD again a week or so ago and now after introducing raw organs (heart and liver) and raw beef suet, I am having some pretty nasty digestive pain. It is definitely familiar pain so I'm unsure if it's a detox (possibly Candida die-off) or if my body simply cannot use all of the fat I am now eating.

Any thoughts?

It could be detox. Also, some people find raw suet to be not as easily digestible - Never heard of digestive pain resulting from the latter, though.

I got it several times from beef suet. If it is the hard, waxy one it seems to overchallenge my gi tract. Butchers here say that suet is only good for cleaning shoes..

Cut back on the fat, see if the pain lessens.  If it does, increase the fat again, and see if the pain increases.

Your may lack the right gutflora. Might be   good idea to get some high quality probiotics. If you do not object to dairy real Kefir is great. High meat, waterkefir or else you could buy them in capsules(not preferred)

I find slightly aged meats (day or so at room temp) digest easier.
