Title: Successful use of raw paleo for exercise/sports/weight lifting
Post by: LePatron7 on January 23, 2012, 06:10:27 am
Howdy folks.  8)

I'm on a "tweaked" raw paleo diet.

I eat raw everything. Meats, organ meats, eggs, etc. I eat everything at room temperature, and I typically leave my meats out the night before so they'll be room temperature when I'm ready to eat the next day. I typically will leave meat out for a day or two.

I also eat all my fruits and veggies raw. I haven't had any raw nuts yet because I can't find a good source of "truely" raw nuts. They're typically low temperature heated, like the apricot seeds I used to eat for cancer prevention (check out world without cancer on youtube if you're interested). I also eat those at room temperature, and drink water at room temperature. (Room temperature means the temp. anywhere I am).

I don't do raw paleo quite how most do it. I've set some rules on what carbs are allowed, based on "The Specific Carbohydrate Diet." I eat only foods that can be eaten raw on SCD, minus cooked foods, beans, dairy (fermented for 24 hours), cashews and peanuts.

Any way. I'm about to begin a rigorous workout routine. I'll be playing basketball, weight lifting, doing cardio, and perhaps taking up other athletics.

Since eating like this I have the urge to exercise more. So I plan to go all out.

I'm wondering if any of you have any success with athletics. Thanks in advance.
