Title: Maasai Milk and Blood Video
Post by: Fermenter Zym on January 30, 2012, 12:28:43 pm
I just found a wonderful video while searching more about how the Maasai People obtain magnesium:
Nutritional Raw Milk and Blood (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kHaYBH0YyY#)
I would consider getting blood from a farmer, but I wonder if it has to be fresh that day. Any thoughts?

Update 2017. Modern Maasai. With cars. Their marriage traditions. One marriage ceremony documented. Polygamy is expected. Women married off at 15. Their father's choice is revered because the love of a father for his daughter is best.
Published on Mar 2, 2017 According to the Maasai culture, having many wives and children is an indication of wealth. Young girls from as little as 15 years old are married off by their fathers. In this episode, "Faces of Africa" follows the story of an 11 year old girl, Eunice Mitao, as she's being married off as a second wife to a young Maasai man.
What I can tell is that this husband is wealthy. He has a car. He has land. He has livestock. He has a farm.
And most importantly, his bloodline has a FUTURE!

You can probably get all the blood you want from a slaughter house. Jack Lalanne was reported to have drank raw blood. I wonder where he got his. Heart isn't blood but it has a lot more iron and other stuff than muscle meat and is probably the closest to the real thing.
