I am still waiting to hear back from GRB entertainment about the show on extreme animal behavior.
I gave a totally sensational performance for the pilot episode.
I think they may want to make me the season finale.
I openly ate high meat, with maggots, drank blood, and searched for road kill on camera.
Then I had an intense debate with a doctor after going over my blood work. (afterward the director took me aside and said I was a wicked debater, and the whole crew was blown away by what they heard.)
The shrink and director, both referred to me as an intellectual and a genius.
I am still hoping they give me a chance to actually speak freely about the Raw Paleo Diet on the final cut, but I have my doubts.

You're so naive. These people always flatter their subjects/interviewees so they can get them to talk. But it's all a fraud and they will try to portray you as a psychotic child-abuser/wife-beater or worse, instead. When I did that sole interview with a newspaper, the woman went all-out to reassure me that she thought I was an amazing fellow. Then she proceeded to exaggerate or lie about many things I'd said. With you, they'll just edit your takes until they show you hesitating, at a temporary loss for words, yawning or whatever, and then just keep those bits.

I cant see the mainstream media ever being allowed to promote truly healthy lifestyles for what they are. Making a freakshow out of it however is exactly what I see happening. No matter how good you did in your debate these people have the ability to edit you into a crazy.

Enlightening the public about health and lifestyle alternatives is a positive step. Although the mass media may exaggerate certain aspects for ratings, it is beneficial for conversation and curiosity in the long run.
I think your efforts are worthwhile.

they are still worthwhile of course. Im sure aajonuses tv appearances got many people to look into the diet and try even though they tried to make him look crazy. The truth will always shine through to some no matter what editing is done.

Thanks for posting this.
Over the holidays I watched a couple episodes of this show at my family's home. One of the episodes was a woman who was addicted to eating dryer sheets.
They kept showing the preview for this episode. I remember thinking "hey, that's how I eat", and "hey, that guy looks pretty healthy!"
I had no hope of watching the episode till now because I don't have a television.

Daniel seems super healthy- and he's eating grocery store meat.
Imagine how he'd look following a straight up raw paleo diet.
This was just like me a few years ago before I switched to straight up raw foods. I've always enjoyed raw meat... it's so much tastier.

My dreams have been shattered.
I am not naive. I am very aware of the typical way the highly controlled western media deals with people like me and you. I expressed some profound truths that will never be aired. *Although the psychiatrist that I spoke with did inform me that I have a problem with always needing to be right. Egocentric was the word she used, and my wife wholeheartedly agrees. ;)
I still say that I did give the people involved in the network a very positive impression about the raw paleo diet. James in casting and his assistant live in California, and they say there is a big underground paleo movement happening.
The director made it clear that he ate steak tartar and understood that this diet could be healthy, but that the real reason the network was interested in me is for the freak show of a maggot eating, road kill savaging, wild man from Kentucky.
I am giving them what they want, in the hopes that they let at least a little of the truth shine through.

at the very least people will see how healthy you look and the fact that you eat all of those things with no problems. All those unhealthy people sitting home all day watching tv will see how healthy you are compared to them and Im sure it will make at least a couple of them seriously consider what you are doing. So I think no matter what they do you will have a ccomplished a good thing.

There is nothing wrong with this. Most of us here in the forum are like this. The reason is we have experienced real healing. And only TRUTH can bring about real healing. Truth is like gravity, there is no denying it.
We had best produce our own materials. Our own books, our own videos.

i just watched some other episodes of the show and I can now see how doctors such as these can become so full of themselves. After helping people who eat nothing but cheeseburgers, pizza, or french fries suddenly they think they know everything. Im sure this is how all doctors get so full of themselves.

They get degrees and titles and "faith" from the masses. They think what they have now is the best medicine has to offer.

Everyone starts to believe their own propaganda at some point which is why we have to be careful on this site to talk of only what we have experienced, not what we think is 'fact'.

I agree with that, however one thing I do know is that 99 percent or more of doctors know absolutely nothing.

Some doctors are open minded and will listen.

The doctor I talked to seemed genuinely open to some of the things I told her
Here is a casting call for the show http://www.grbtv.com/casting.aspx (http://www.grbtv.com/casting.aspx) Its not an intervention or a hit piece, they want to "celebrate the unusual"whatever that means
The series has been picked up for production, although it may take another year before the start airing shows.

It would be hilarious to do a spoof on the show, having a group of raw paleo foodists descending one by one, on the doctor etc. feeding him facts such as his gut containing the dreaded ecoli.
Then giving the nutritionist a lecture on eating the crap from grocery stores and how little she actually knows about nutrition.
Then taking the license away from the psychologist for bad work, using leading questions to arrive at the conclusion that he started out with. Then showing the audience how he did it.
Lawyers get chastised for doing that garbage, but psychs get away with it because there is no one there to supervise them.

We are fucking bonkers when we can't allow ourselves to simply let this man live the way he wants to.

thats why i didnt say 100 percent. I know that there is a tiny minority of doctors that are willing to question what thye learned in school. It is a very tiny minority though.

No kidding. This one is actually a strange episode really- most of them are about people with real eating problems- eating only mcnuggets, things like that.
This dude is a healthy looking guy who eats a SAD except for raw meat a few times a week. They sensationalized it a lot- if this guy ate steak tartare and sashimi for lunch every day, they wouldn't have done a thing.

The nutritionist said that those dishes are OK, because they are prepared by "professionals"

I contacted the casting director for the new series on primal behavior today.
She said that they are still trying to get a complete set of stories approved by the network before they begin production. She couldn't give any specific dates, but she said they were looking to begin production by April. Then they have to film and edit the entire series before it is finally aired. It could be another year before I get to be on TV, but that's fine with me.
It gives me time to hone my persona. I have at least couple of months to muster up a bravado and find ways to express my lust for the Raw paleo lifestyle, that will gain some serious attention.

We should also go out and make our home productions.
Invite some sponsors so it be sustainable.
Our own youtube channel?
Our voices, our point of view... to our satisfaction so we convey our message across.
It will happen...

Is there really no one doing this? Seems like it could be a big opportunity for someone.

They are out there on youtube already. Daniel Vitalis on animal foods #38 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cbhkUA5ySQ#ws) I am still kicking myself for not buying a video camera and starting a you tube show called Sabertooths kitchen, where I film myself cutting off a chunk of meat from my meat shed and dinner is done.
I think we could start a Raw paleo YouTube channel that has a complete series of raw paleo educational video.

I am wondering if the original reason for this thread is an actual case or simply a set of actors.
Was there any mention of any concrete such as where they were located as well as the Doctor's name and place of practice?
Title: Re: freaky eaters

i think its an actual case. Before learning the facts about this diet I would never eat raw meat the way he did on film from fear of getting diseases. I think almost all normal people are this way.
