is that safe? i've heard most of the pollutants and parasites are in the skin of the fish. that sounds reasonable, but was just wondering. does anyone eat the skin?

For the big fish, I usually do not eat the skin. But for the little fish, like dilis (1 inch to 3 inches long) or dulong (1 cm small), I eat the fish whole... head, skin, innards, tail, etc.

Edwin, do you ever have concerns about eating the fecal matter contained in the fish's digestive tract?

I often eat the skin. I suppose fish with scales are on, I often avoid, but otherwise it's fine.
