Title: Re: Is Glyphosate Herbicide the cause of Gluten sensitivity ?

I know I'm splitting hairs here, but I would have preferred the headline to read: "Is Glyphosate Herbicide a cause of Gluten sensitivity?" Or better still, "Is Glyphosate Herbicide a contributing factor in the increase of Gluten sensitivity?" Or best, "Is Glyphosate Herbicide a contributing factor in the increase of illnesses?"
Gluten sensitivity per se was identified long before glyphosate was put in use. I learned of the gluten sensitivity by reading J. I. Rodale's account of the healing of his illness in the 1920s. He used to run a series of articles entitled "Don't Eat Wheat!" in his Prevention magazine. As I recall, he linked the gluey-ness of gluten to several actions in the intestines and blood stream that resulted in various health impairments ranging from intestinal distress to depression to heart disease, among others.
I react so severely to gluten that I marvel at people who say they can eat it. I just don't see the need to link herbicide to gluten - perhaps each is a culprit in its own right, without help from the other.

I suspect that they are simply grasping for reasons. I believe that the reason why gluten has hit the news as a rising problem is that nobody looked for it before. I've read case histories of PPL saying they had the problem to the Dr. and the Dr refused to believe it.
