Testosterone doesn't make men want to have sex with women.
Testosterone makes everybody want to have sex whether they are male or female, bi, straight or gay.

Higher testosterone levels are directly links with me wanting to have sex with women. Whether that's related more to what causes the testosterone surge or the testosterone itself is up to debate but there is definitely symptoms of higher testosterone level displayed in mentality and physiology when I want to have sex with women.

No offense, but if women knew what drove male sexuality they'd make better porn. Like, seriously, just because porn "actors" are prostitutes doesn't make the selfish, dirty face attractive or make them any good at acting like they're enjoying themselves.

I can consciously control my sexuality and while I'm not especially fond of homosexuality I can use it when it is advantageous.

The only diet that I've noticed had any effect on "curing" homosexuality when that was the dominant sexuality was intermittent fasting with a 24 fasting period. The testosterone rush made me want to have sex with many women. The subsequent realization that I didn't have the money to be considered worth the effort by most women led me to also discover that said fasting can "cure" masturbation in that after hours of jacking without a wearing down or orgasming the crazy sexual stamina made me quit out of sheer frustration.

So I guess in my case a steady job would be the only cure for homosexuality. Without it, I start resorting to "prison sex"-like situations.

So without any doubt now I've noticed that I can tell what hens have been eating by the flavor of their eggs. There's just no other reason that eggs would taste like either fish or flax.

In other news, I've gone up to 6 freestanding handstand pushups today. I will definitely be meeting my goal of doing 8 in a row by Halloween.

I can get by on 5-6 an feel awesome if I actually stick to the diet perfectly and have something to do. Otherwise, I sleep because I'm bored and want to pass time.

Too much melanin interferes with vitamin D absorption so if you're not experiencing sunburns then what's the reason for alarm? Wouldn't the betacarotene in the egg yolks protect your eyes from sun damage anyway?

I think that the reason raw vegans have a change in eye color is from an inability to make enough melanin due to a deficiency and not due to cysteine binding to the melanin precursor. Raw vegans are frail, have low-hormone levels, are tired and lazy when they're not bingeing on fruit sugar, and just otherwise look like they're ready to fall down and die if someone bumped into them.

Wow, that's really stupid. Why the hell would a dentist do that? I had a tooth that was filed down after it was chipped but they ended up making it sharper so I can't say I really mind.

At some point I just have to wonder what all the sugar craze is about. People have moved away eating foods that are actually what their bodies are made of and eat foods that are high in energy but incapable of building or replacing the materials of the body and it's really interesting how many of the degenerative diseases of the body will recover when you just put back the stuff the body is made of into the body.

Sprinkle something with a pinch of epsom salts before you eat it?

I periodically eat the shell but not habitually.

If I add potassium and magnesium salts to the foods I eat I will crave eggshell though, I notice this.

Health / Teeth Recovering on RAF

Anyone else notice that previously damaged teeth were recovering on an RAF diet?

I swear that damage from braces and unintentional etching on my teeth are recovering in that the past etching seems to have filled in, my teeth don't have any plaque problems anymore, and they're no longer sensitive like they were were when I was raw vegan.

I'm eating a very similar diet Paleophil but my eyes seemed to have darkened again recently.  The only difference?  You're eating eggs!

Perhaps you're onto something there Python.  I think I'll try adding them back into my diet again and monitor any changes.

Eggs are loaded with cysteine because baby chicks need the cysteine to produce all those cute little feathers by the time they hatch. It goes without saying that growing really awesome hair everywhere has been the only side-effect I've noticed from moderate egg consumption and a "burnt feather/hair" smell coming from when I just eat too many eggs.

Actually, I want to clarify what I said above:

When I eat raw eggs, with or without eating a fully raw diet, my eyes become a very vivid blue. Cooked food does not "pollute" my eye color as long as I am eating raw eggs. I believe this to be related at least in part to a better absorption of cysteine as that would go a long way towards explaining some of the other benefits that I have noticed on the diet which are all in some way related to cysteine.

When I was raw vegan, my eyes were grey which while being a sign of less melanin than blue eyes was due probably not to cysteine inhibiting melanin production(which I think is healthful so long as I better absorb vitamin D given my limited sun exposure) but an overall deficiency in most every major nutrient and amino acid. I also had low hormone and energy levels at the time so it makes sense that my melanin levels would have been low simply from being unable to produce any.

Raw eggs make my eyes bluer. Instead of being a dull green-blue they become very blue.

When I was raw vegan they were grey but I was like 140lbs and unable to think so I was seriously nutrient and protein deficient.

Hmmm, good question. Most RPD and Paleo dieters seem to report easier tanning and less burning, suggesting no decrease in skin melanin and possible increase. Why would people experience decrease in melanin in the eyes and easier tanning at the same time?

Really? Because I went out into the world of sunshine, got seriously burnt, and am still pale as heck.

If your eyes do literally get lighter in color, that is almost certain to be a drop in melanin.

I guess the reason I'm kind of pushing this point is that it does seem like, based on the effects of the diet, that there is better cysteine absorption in the diet and clearly the benefits of the diet are not coming from any sort of a metaphysical or spiritual quality of the food. If we could identify some specific reasons that explain some of the diet's benefits beyond just saying that it's "more natural" then maybe we could provide some incentive for scientific research into the diet to prove what people have been saying about it.

Part of the cysteine metabolism interferes with melanin production. Lower levels of melanin are responsible for lighter eyes.

Another thing that I notice that may be related to cysteine and the cysteine metabolism is that my nose and sinuses suddenly clear up after eating raw protein. Acetylcysteine is a mucus thinning agent.

There seems to be a change in eye color reported among many people who follow the RAF diet which seems to describe eyes becoming lighter than before. My eyes appear to be much bluer and lighter than before so I put some stock in these claims.

It seems plausible to me that, considering at least these affects noticed by people who have followed the diet, that a better absorption or metabolization of cysteine into glutathione in a RAF diet could be at least partially responsible for many of the health benefits and directly responsible for some of them.

I don't know of any reports of a change in hair color. I would love it if I went back to my childhood blond but I would be very surprised as well.

Well yes but it would go a long way towards explaining some of the specific effects that commonly occur on an RAF diet.

Does a raw food diet lead to better cysteine absorption?

It seems to me that the healthier skin and hair, improved immune function, better mood and mental stability, as well as the change in eye color that many report experiencing on a RAF diet could be due at least in part to the better absorption of cysteine from our diet.

It is a precursor of Glutathione, which is an antioxidant and is used to inhibit melanin production(which would produce lighter eyes).

Alpha-keratin, which is in human hair and skin, has a high percentage of cysteine.

NAC(N-acetyl-L-cysteine) has been shown to cause "marked increase in immunological functions" and reduce the symptoms of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

It's not for sale in the area. I don't know what it is with the suburbs and meat but all of the meat that we have is of really low quality. The only organ meat we have is conventionally farmed beef liver and the occasional chicken heart packaged with gizzards but the quality is really iffy and for the same price I can eat a dozen or more eggs.

I'm going to stick to the eggs right now but when I finally beat out all of the other unemployed in the area I'll be sure to treat myself to something a bit more substantial.

At any rate, maybe by then I'll be farming some small animals that I can eat whole. I have a strong urge to farm oysters and sardines.

My poos stink a bit though I'm inclined to think that could be the result of increasing the protein in my diet. Protein has smell when you poop, which I guess makes a high protein diet the opposite of the vegan "I'm so perfect my farts don't stink" effect. I'll add more fiber and see if that helps any.

I feel like I'm getting more muscular. Usually it's impossible for me to gain muscle mass so I think that this must be a combination of increasing the protein and increasing my testosterone levels(since the eggs are making me horny after consumption and, dare I say it, harder, longer, and thicker when aroused). My planche, handstand, and planche to handstand transition are making some wonderful gains and I am crediting this to the "grease the groove" type of daily training that I've been doing with the eggs improving my overall recovery.

I have a strong urge to join the military and fight to the death. I'm going to interpret this as a good sign for now.

Ok, so my IBS(which was triggered by family stress) put me off of RAF diet since I couldn't very well continue it if my family still blamed my health issues on the diet given that it's hard to avoid stress when you're being forcefully nagged every day. I've been going through different dietary experiments before being able to formulate a diet that was best for my specific needs and for my family to forget about the whole RAF thing to begin with.

Right now I'm living on a poverty diet of raw eggs, garden vegetables, and sauerkraut. It costs me less than $2.00 a day to down a dozen extra large eggs, the cabbage is I think $1-2 and after shredding and fermenting will last me weeks, and I've got a never ending supply of tomatoes and basil in the back garden. The garlic, EVOO, and salt are pantry staples that don't add much on because they last so long or are cheep as dirt.

The big things for me this time around is to avoid fruit and milk and to restrict my carbohydrate intake enough so that I run off of ketones. I've really noticed lately how much carbs cause some severe mood swings and how calm and stable my energy is when in ketosis. I think that if I continue with that in RAF that I'll really thrive.

At any rate, raw eggs are really doing it for me right now in the sense that my testosterone levels have shot through the roof since I started eating them. It is impossible for me to eat 4 or more at any one time without getting really randy, 6 will give me a steel pipe in my trousers. I've gotten noticeably hairier in just a few days and whereas I used to be able to get away with shaving every other day now I'll look like a hobo.

I've been diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome(after a week of diarrhea and severe abdominal pain) and have been told to eat a low-fiber diet and avoid stress. Since it started up the day that my new college classes started, I think that I should try to get a full-time job that will offer health insurance so that I can avoid college(truth be told, I'm only going to be covered by family health insurance).

I've lost ten pounds, mostly muscle, and cannot eat fruit without pain and diarrhea. I will probably base my future diet on eggs, milk, fish, and vegetable juices as soon as my stomach settles down a bit.

Well I cheat for the day, get horrible stomach aches after eating, and come down with nausea, body aches, dreams about oil and Brazilian martial artists, and feelings that I'm going to either vomit or shit myself.

I really feel like shit right now.

awww come on, don't give up on liver so quickly!  :P
it takes a couple tries to get used to liver. I remember being slightly grossed out at the taste the first couple times I had it, but you might grow to actually like it. and its so healthy... liver gives me much energy

You really like your raw milk huh? You know, I've never tried it...
I might get some at the next farmer's market just to see how I react to it.
I'm of the opinion that dairy is not optimal (plus flat-out strange) but hey, who knows. I'll try it at least.

Milk is mammal fuel. A tall glass of raw, pasture-fed milk does my body good, boosts my testosterone levels, and clears away my psychopathy for a few hours. I'd drink gallons of the stuff a day if I could(and probably will if I ever buy some dairy animals).

I'll stick to dandelion greens and my other food sources for my vitamin A needs. Liver doesn't break down in my mouth when I chew it and I don't want to eat foods that don't break down, especially if they taste nasty. Raw eggs and milk should be enough for my normal growth and muscle meat after intensive exercise should be enough.

The reaction to the liver coupled with my parents making a point to tell me what was in the fridge made me cheat last night. I had some pasta that made me stomach get painfully swollen and this morning my body feels fried and acidic.

I'm going to avoid liver from now on just because I can't stand to eat it. Raw milk from pasture fed sources seems to agree with me more from a nutritional standpoint and tastes great to boot so I'll just fall back on that, eggs, fish, and muscle meat.
