Health / Tapeworm experience and question
« on: October 31, 2017, 06:51:44 pm »
Hi, first time posting.
I was camping early 2016, drank some water I shouldn't have and got violently ill the next night. A few weeks later I passed what I suspected at the time to be a small segment of a tapeworm with my stool. I let it go. A year later I passed a very large length of tapeworm in my stool. This has played on my mind a lot as we see the negative things they can do to the average person on an average diet. My health in this time has been normal, my appetite increased dramatically though and I became my heaviest weight, I enjoy weightlifting so I was also at my strongest.
I decided that I wanted to get rid of them though and I went to the doctor (first time in a long time). The stool sample which they said would show what type of tape worm came back with no sign of infestation or abnormalities. Is it possible that I passed this tapeworm and that was it? I know they lay eggs but they are supposedly excreted with the stool and maybe the large tapeworm I passed was alone. Or do you think their tests might not have been as comprehensive as they could've?
This was the first time I had bloods done since I can remember and it was interesting to note for people following this style of diet that both my total cholesterol and testosterone were very high. My cholesterol ratios were all great though and put me in their low risk range. Somehow the doctor overlooks this and wants to put me on statins. No deal. Has anyone else recorded high testosterone since eating this way? I'm 26 for reference.
Been on raw animal foods since early 2012. Diet mainly consists of lamb, beef, eggs, sometimes -
 coconut, dairy, and nuts.
