General Discussion / Re: Alternative Uses for Animals
« on: July 02, 2018, 06:47:51 am »
Yes I do not have a good access to the food Ii would like to eat, and when I eat my guinea pigs, this is just so much work that I want to eat all! The skin is a big part ofr example. then the bones are small....

Also, I do need the colagen broth to help hydrate me with the use of the gelatine. This is the only animal product that is helpful for this,as plants offer more possibilities.

Thanks Steve! To make your own HCl, you need Cl, thus salt. Then you need H! But more than anything else, you need to be in parasympathetic state, not in sympathetic activation.

If you have stomach lining problem, then take aloe vera.

At the moment I eat whole guinea pigs, but I need to cook the bones with the rest of meat and also the skin. I remove hairs...
So I have some glands.... here I cannot get all you named, they do not sell it! i will try to source people killing their own pigs or goat, because I know for example in baby goat season that they throw the heads away!

Do you mean you can eat the gall bladder of any animal, for getting bile?

And you are sure there is no parasitic risk with raw intestine?

I eat all glands from my guinea pigs, they are small but it is for sure balanced with the amount of meat I eat! There is no other way for getting adrenals thyroid and pancreas than locating your animals, as they do not sell glands!

I mostly agree but with this...
Quote
Just as when diabetics begin to supplement with insulin the pancreatic cells begin producing less insulin in response, perhaps when someone with digestive enzyme insufficiency takes acid supplements, long term, it would inhibit the body's innate feedback system needed to produce adequate enzymes internally.
Taking the HCl breaks a circle, that is hwy it works, and no, it does not stop our production, and even it is the reverse.

Low acid, low protein assimilation. low amino acids level will lower you phosphorus and will lower your acid production.
Also another circle is that when you have low stomach acid, you have less protection against bacterias, nd they can start to debilitate your stomach lining, thus you will tolerate lessacid! so here is the use of aloe, protection and repair.

Also the other cycle is that low acid will mean not enough signal sent to pancreas and liver, so less alakli will be sent to the gut, and with no alternance between acid first and alkali second, bacterias and other fungi and parasite will be very happy!

Really, the first goal is to have a good stomach and good acid, or else the rest of the chain cannot work properly.

Virgin olive oil.
I do not calculate and mix well and try to get something tasty, and not more than what Ii can drink and still feel ok!

I have done the complete liver flush before, from Andreas moritz, so you can find it to get inspired. this is a mild version that i do on a more often basis, as i dont suspect any stone. it can be wise to use malic acid at dinner, for stone softening. And no fat at dinner, to get some bile build up.

Even when eating raw, i still cook what is of difficult access raw. So i boild the rest of the bones. i think logical that our ancester started to use fire for this reason: to get what is difficult to eat raw.

For the soil, I can assure you that you can put boiled bones. They will be colonised little by little by the organisms of the soil. Don't bother with making meal, just add the bones to the compost, and then when you have your compost, you leave the bones for the nexxt compost, and they will be full of bactirias for helping start the next batch.

Good topic, even what was off topic!

Where did you get your betaine hcl? If i understand, you got it pure and in powder? What brand?

I was also looking for enzymes, but I find only plant ones and no bile!

I have difficulties to eat enough and I need regularly to come back to those 2 products.

i have some elements that were not mentionned: i did a hair analysis, and they told me to take hcl because I have low Phosphorus! They say it is a consequence of low acid, and thus bad protein breakdown and you do not get your correct amonos even with a lot of meat... which lower your P even more! So we need this help to go out of the circle.

I also need gelatine, and I know it is not easy to digest. It is necessary to keep more water in the body.

I have some whole animals as I raise guinea pigs. I eat the skin of course, and the rest. I am fed up with cleaning so small guts, so I dont bother anymore, but if you feed parsley and fennel before killing... you have a good stomach to eat! This I was cooking. I eat raw what I can and then boild the rest with the bones and skin.

I hesitate about your idea of raw gut... after all they are herbivores, so not the same enzymes... I also remove the gall bladder, and also hesitate... because i am sure it can be full of toxin, as the bile is also meant to eliminate toxins from the body... it is quite strange they have a gall bladder, as they do not eat any fat...

Also, parasite risk with raw guts. After all, if we lack some stomach acid... and also, I have poop some dead worms that were looking too much like fly worms! i wonder if it is possible for those eggs to stay alive and hatch inside us, and then go out because of course they are not meant to live there... Anyway, that would mean they have escaped from my stomach acid and then my bile and pancreatic alkalis! Tough guys!

I've actually been thinking about doing some blood tests, not sure about a hair bulb analysis. The reason behind it is I'm particularly interested in minerals/vitamins/amino acid/fatty acids/hormones.

Again, thanks for the advice.

There seem to be a problem with the lab that was doing this specific bulb test, so I will stay with the analysis I do with TEI. A normal hair test...
REALLY, a hair test is very interesting!
Blood gives you what is in blood, that the body tries to get stable,, BUT you know nothing about waht goes into the cells or not! Hair test is like doing a biopsia... and mineral ratios gives you your hormonal balance as well!

Yes of course our ancesters could slow cook! There was a time when the cooking was done in a bag made of a stomach, and the heating was with hot stones coming from the fire, that they put inside the bag. They would move it to avoid burning 1 place.

Skin and bones are hard, but when cooked they give you more food than raw. You can also extract in the broth and drink the broth.

My mother taught me to not boil fish but simmer it, very easy if you stay near the saucepan...
Our very recent elders were cooking on the wood stove, and with such low heat that would leave the soup all night.

Carnivorous / Zero Carb Approach / Re: Safe Stool Frequency
« on: March 17, 2018, 05:06:18 am »
Today was fine!
I upped first of all water. As I have tooth ache, I was not finishing my glasses, as I have to be super careful with the heat.

haha I upped fat ...with butter, but also coco and cacao butter.

I get at least 3 eggs per day, and was having a bit of cured goat raw cheese. Indeed I had eaten a bit more, so I slowed.

My access to varied meat is reduced, so I still have not found good beef fat.

but I think the best solution is to have more GELATINE! ....as some people complain that it gives them diarrhea, in an omnivore diet. We need to eat some skin...

I started ZC early march, and I was constipated for the first time in my life today. I was a bit difficult the other days, but today, no I cannot be like this all the time! And for some days now, I have hard stools but with some liquid just afte, as if it was really stuck and waiting!  It was dark brown playdo, very sticky.

When I was super low carbs with greens, I had no problem.

I know I am not high in fats, but I cannot even eat a lot of meat, I have no apetite! i eat some butter and many eggs though. Often I am hungry only twice per day.

Is zc really better than low?

- Have you thought about doing a hair bulb analysis? It gives the composition of your body in everything including amino acids and minerals and hormones.
- I think we have to bother about what is not habitual before it becomes a problem.

- Have you tried to up you meat in order to get more satisfaction fromm your meals without needing more fat?

And have you tried to eat another type of fat and see if there is a difference? Even oilve oil! Can you eat any nut?

If this is about liver and gall bladder:
- I have added 1 egg to all my meals with fat, well all my meals lol, and it helps emulsify fats.
- Then I do some cure of morning lemon juice with olive oil, when I feel heavy on the right side.
- If you tolerate garlic, it also has some emulsifier, as it is used to make aioli!

That is why I chose the intermediate, and I cook what I cannot eat! After all, our ancesters used fire for this purpose, and had no blender! I do a very long enough slow cooking with no boiling, to get stuff from bones and skin etc.

Once Inger told , fatty fish is not suitable for making broths. I don't know the exact reasons for this, but I simply followed her advice.

Inger was also the biggest fan of mackerel head smoothies and for her it is one of the top most Super Food. Here you could watch her making and drinking mackerel head smoothie.

Do not watch this video! I do not like to eat and have to make such an upset face! Where is instinct if you do not like your food?!!! She has to pinch her nose and rinse her mouth!

For broth and fatty fish: omega 3 are just fragile....

Omnivorous Raw Paleo Diet / Re: Cooked tubers - healthy or unhealthy?
« on: December 31, 2017, 05:46:32 am »
maybe it's a craving for salt now.

I've seen some raw soup recipes online... but they look all vegetarian and not very appetizing
Salt bring very important minerals for balance!

I use vegetarian recipes, they are good, I just add the meat in them!

I use broth, though cooked, just to remove all the bits from bones and get minerals from the bones are cartilage, and I love to make broth infusions! Raw onions are wonderfull for this, also coliflower... carrot....

Try Norwegian mackerel if you can find it, its like a completely different food. So much richer, tastes like butter. I usually filet it, scoop the flesh out of the skin, then eat that with the liver/heart.
I live near south morroco and I eat local! This fish was just taken the same morning! This has the best value i can imagine...

Good news!
Here wild game is mainly rats and lizards!
Few rabbits....
I would not count bats....  :o

Some shells and crabs and then you can go fishing....

Aborigenes here some centuries ago, relied on goat and cheese, and some figs + 2 local berries at most, some palm sugar, honey, a few roots and some grains that were toasted to make dextrin as in tsampa from Tibet.

Almonds, chestnuts and prickly pears came much after, with invadors. These now grow wild.

I think we live in the present time and have to do as all beings on earth, adapt to what there is! Even wolf bears and coyotes forage on human garbage and they have no ethics about it! Coyotes are known to live on 80% diet of some beans I cannot remember the name right now.... not all the time but when they are ripe and there is no available meat. Apart from ideal things, we have to live and eat! If I have to eat grains for example, I just take care to cook them the right way, raw cooking can be sprouting... and I know how to cook my lima beans after sprouting and removing the peel!

Then eating must be sustainable, not only healthy. If you have to import food, then it is not paleo at all!
Local is the most paleo in a realistic way.
And appart from big health reasons, I do not see bad to cook what is not edible raw, or what is difficult to eat raw, like getting all meat around bones!

From what I gather, the wai diet is very high in fruit, which in my opinion is loaded with too much sugar. Insulin spikes and over-stimulation of the mtor pathway are, I believe, very much associated with acne.
I originally started a RPD 7.5 yrs ago to combat eczema. I found that RPD only helped me with that condition once I went very low carb ie. very little fruit.
As I have access to tropical fruits and even grow some, I also went into problems with fruits... Really it is useful to do the hair test, I thought I had high copper low zinc from blood test, and in my tissues I have the reverse, proved by hair test, and need copper. You cannot guess that easy.... I have taken progesterone, natural, and I have had an infection last year, so it changes the minerals. High progesterone, or high testosterone for men, means high zinc, and high estrogen is high copper.

Fruits are good for fast metabolism and meat + veggies for slow metabolism. My test confirmed slow metabolism, and it corresponds to people who benefit from keto and also fasting. Fast metabolism can crash from just trying to do intermitent fasting! And they need sugar much more.

General Discussion / Re: Calcium and Magnesium
« on: November 27, 2017, 03:23:58 am »
Green leaves for Mg.

For calcium, not raw but I boil bones after eating the meat. Better if with vinegar to get the calcium. You can reduce bone lelft-overs from chicken carcass to almost nothing as the bones can be almost all eaten, and marrow is very good.

I get geletine from guinea pigs bones, but the bones are really too hard for eating anything, and I have no idea the quantity of calcium that goes to the both.
