General Discussion / Re: Eating liver a lot more frequent?
« on: October 27, 2020, 02:41:35 pm »Yes I have some experience with that. Grass-fed beef liver. I was a political prisoner for about 10 months and when I was released my family had a 27 lb grass-fed liver waiting for me. For two to three weeks I was eating between 1 and 3 lbs per day. But I also tacitly follow an instinctivore lifestyle and my body was absolutely craving it up until the end of the liver at which point I kind of felt I had my fill for a little while and moved over to muscle meat, suet, raw eggs and whatever else I had available at the time. I noticed no ill-effects and it made me feel so good it was almost like a drug. Euphoria, intense satiation, and a profound calmness, of course being freed and no longer treated like an animal was a big part of that as well obviously.
Regarding the dogs and loose stool it is more of how you introduce liver to a dog who hasn't had it in a while. My pack eats raw liver on the regular. But if for some reason they should go many weeks or months without it when I reintroduce it I must give them only a few bites the first time and then I can double the portion every day thereafter. But if I give them a large portion right off the bat it is almost guaranteed loose stool. And I have experienced the same thing for myself.
No wonder you were craving liver after eating prison "food" for ten months. After visiting my family on a Holliday for a week. The first thing I reach after is liver when I'm home again.
