It is a big deal, actually.  Now that we are civilised, it is up to us to make death as easy as possible for animals. Besides, reportedly,  a long, violent death, such as with kosher/halal,  makes animals release lots of adrenaline which apparently makes the meat-flavour less appealing.

Killing is killing; pretending like one method is that much different from the other is pointless in my opinion. Forget they`re killed at the end of their lives for a minute... most animals raised for food live a life of torture, the conditions are disgusting and the way they are treated is barbaric (death is probably a relief tbh).

But let`s get on our moral high horses because we shove a metal bolt into the head rather than slice the throat.

Hooray for us!

Sells papers like hot-cakes though.

People who get their dietary advice from the Bible are not to be listened to.

The restrictions in the bible (and a ton of other religious texts) made sense before the advent of ovens and freezers ... and you know, clean butchery.

It was obvious certain food caused problems when not cooked, consumed properly - the religious text conveyed that to the masses by the "devil will get you if you eat that."

It was pretty successful. There was no such thing as health departments at the time ... so. They had to do what they had to do.

What a cute kid. That's amazing. The real disturbing part to me is that we have this need to capture and remove him from the wild. Seeing as he was completely healthy, I just feel like it would've been better to let him stay with his family (the orangutans).

You understand, he's not an animal, right? Apes/Chimps are known for the care of their young (Homo Sapiens tops all other mammals in infanticide), but ... as he grows he will become competition whether he knows that or not and an ape will destroy a human. Even Chimps are amazingly strong... 10x the strength of a an average human.

If the boy had a real father, and he noticed his son was getting antsy about not getting laid, father should have given him a couple of chicks so he could let off steam.  It's not something mothers or grandmothers can do.  Only fathers / grandfathers and concerned or elder brothers should be giving chicks if the boy just needed it so bad.

I have an Australian friend who was introduced to girls by his elder brother.  Then his father took him on a trip to Angeles city and let him loose.  He turned out quite okay now that he is in his 50s.

Must investigate those who were conceived despite the use of birth control pills.  US FDA website says 10% per year is the failure rate of birth control pills.  Quite a large number of pregnancies that way it seems.  THIS IS BIG!!! (I'm betting no drug company wants to make this study playing with human lives.)

( ... and a big horde of guilty women and docs who will say that this does not affect the baby... DOES SO! )

Contraception Video, Produced By Children Of Mary Order, Links Homosexuality With Birth Control

HOLY SHIT.  The study with the Alpha Male Chimp and his female chimps... injected with depo provera... at the very start of the video.
You must watch the first 2 minutes above!

More about that study: http://www.religiondispatches.org/dispatches/sarahmoricebrubaker/6444/print

See also: http://www.hausvater.org/book-reviews/153-darwinism-contraception-and-the-decline-of-manhood.html

Search google for "homosexual birth control pill"... lots of people are concerned!

https://www.google.com/search?client=ubuntu&channel=fs&q=homosexual+birth+control+pill&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

What's wrong with you? - You think we need more people? Really? Look at the state of the world. We need LESS people, not more.

Contraception may have it's downsides, but, it is ultimately a means to an end. The Human population is out of control, we add another billion in less than a decade. We can't go on like that.

Absent father?
Some young men just need to be introduced to willing girls to get them started.
I coached my younger brother beginning 12 yrs old and lent him my apartment every time he needed it by the time he was 17.
Im older by 11 yrs and guided him all the way.
Even now... i ask if he's getting enough sex from his wife...

That's... pretty... disturbing.

I remember when I was in Jail we were given personal care packs with toothpaste, deodorant, soap and shampoo.... every single item was loaded with Triclosan. The majority of the meat served in jail was processed hormone fed turkey. The schools are just as bad with antibacterial soap and GMO soy based lunch menus. It would seem that there is a deliberate attempt to hormonally cull large segments of the population.

Criminals, serious criminals, should not have children. That's my opinion. Violent criminals, rapists, pedophiles etc etc.

Don't forget vegetarianism... this crap is often in mass media depicted as very positive for health. Sure, might work for some very very few individuals. Or against some certain health issues as a one time treatment, or such. But otherwise... seriously...

Homo Sapiens for most of their existence were vegetarians. We subsisted mostly on vegetation and animal products, but, rarely animal flesh.

Do you really think the Kings of the past just let us go out in the woods and hunt? Ugh, no. Eggs were a prized commodity amongst the peasants.

Veganism on the other hand... is a pretty recent ideal because we have access to synthetic vitamins that are not found in plants or animal products, but, only in the animal flesh itself - B12 is a great example.

Well ... actually that's not totally accurate, you can indeed find B12 in a Vegan diet ... but not much so you really, really have to do a ton of work.

8
Homosexuality in humans and animals (although I hate to use that word since you're hard pressed to find Lesbianism on any large scale in animals) is a sort of population control.

And honestly, I don't really care. I like women, if one of my buddies came out as gay... All I could think is .. "More chicks for me" at our next outing.

Life is lonely if someone finds someone who makes them happy... Good.

The next invention will be an automated cabin which tells you what you should eat and what not, based on a 30 second check up.

It will replace your  food instinct , since it is well know that we don't have any instinct for food  !

There have been long-term studies on children eating large doses of "high risk" fish (like tuna) regularly throughout their childhood, with no ill effects. In fact, these children all had an increase in IQ and some other benefits resulting from the benefits of eating seafood regularly. Forgive me for not having a link to the study. I'm sure someone can get it for you if you find it necessary.

I actually ate tons of tuna and even swordfish throughout my childhood. My mom didn't know about the "mercury risk" until I was almost a teenager, then she completely stopped buying swordfish and only she got to eat the tuna (sadface). Some might say I'm a bit crazy, but I personally don't think anything is wrong with me. ;)

Also, from my understanding, PETA started the mercury scare. That ALONE makes me laugh at the entire concept and completely disregard it. I know that isn't actual science, but that's more than enough from me. And I've mentioned this to a few people and they all started laughing and said they'd be happily enjoying tuna and swordfish regularly now. :p

1. Tuna is not a "High Risk" fish unless you're pregnant or a young child ; and it's albacore. No scientists or doctors have other said otherwise. Eating fish will not make you better at tests, I.Q or otherwise. I.Q is also poppycock, even the inventor of the tests said it. If you have a high "I.Q" it means you're good at taking I.Q tests - congrats.

2. Most smokers never develop lung cancer either. Genetic inheritance plays a large role in disease and ... you're not very old ... so don't count your winnings yet.

3. There is nothing funny about Mercury and other heavy metals. If you ingested the contents of a thermometer ... you would die in short time. Heavy metals are accumulative ... so keep that in mind.

4. Cooking fish seems to actually augment the potency of the heavy metals.

Health / Re: Swollen Lymph Nodes
« on: June 29, 2014, 01:17:56 pm »
What causes swollen lymph nodes? My boyfriend has lumps around the groin and his side/rib area (where the obliques muscles are), so I'm sure they are the lymph nodes. I'm certain that this is linked to all the stress going on with his system overall while he still has eczema, but just wondering in general what causes this and what can fix it?

Swollen Lymph nodes especially in the areas described can be telling of a sexually transmitted disease. He should get tested.

No need for drama either, STD's can lay dormant for a long time.

If he's not suffering from any sort of virus (sexually transmitted bacterias usually don't cause l.N's to swell) than he probably has a small blood infection. It's nothing serious as long as he doesn't have problems breathing, nausea, night sweats (back to back for more than 3 days in a 3 week period) cramping or liquid stools.

If he does, especially coupled with a fever -- Hospital time.

But yeah, get that sexual health check-up.

I live in the horse capital of the world, the problem is there are so many bleeding heart horse lovers here, that they have made it a crime to slaughter them for meat.

If you mention eating horse meat to some people , they will look at you like you murdered a unicorn...

What is morally outrageous is that japans companies are allowed to buy up all the unwanted horses for dirt cheap, and once they are loaded up on cargo ships and outside of U.S. waters the animals are slaughter butchered and packaged, before arriving at the international markets. There are many of poor families here who could benefit from eating healthy horse meat, but instead its all being exported.

Horse meat doesn't even taste good. So let's not shed too many tears.

As for poor families, c'mon. We could have done things years ago, do you know how cheap it is to give them certain veggies?

We're not going to do anything for the poor until we actually care about them, we don't, we pretend that we do -- often.

Meat prices didn't go up. The Human population is what went up.

Perhaps the children should get tested by a licensed medical doctor regarding the possible roundworm infection, but as far as the flukes, and lyme I doubt doctors will be able to help much.

If anyone knows of a "real" doctor who knows how to identify and diagnose blood parasites then please let me know, because I am skeptical that such an illusive creature can easily be found, and encouraging a member of this forum to go to just any random general practitioner with these pictures and this story, may not be wise.

Real doctors couldn't find my blood parasites after years of testing, even though I saw it for myself under the microscope, and I seriously doubt they will be able to find the ones in these children.

BTW Those pictures are not typical liver flukes which are large and easily identifiable, they are of microscopic blood flukes that are rarely diagnosed and can only be seen with high power microscopes, which are not used by mainstream medicine.

And you can forget about getting anywhere with doctors when it comes to the question of Lyme!

An other concern I would have is regarding how one can find a doctor who will not turn you into child protective services if they find out you have been feeding your children raw meat.

1. Stop telling this man not to go to a Doctor. The idea that he is better equipped to handle this issue than an actual medical doctor is NONSENSE. Also, Doctors may prolong your treatments because of profit, you probably didn't even have parasites - you just saw things that you thought looked suspicious. Are you a doctor? No? How did you learn all of this medicine?

2. Kids have no money and few Doctors are going to misdiagnose a child for reasons of money.

3. That's a possibility and unfortunately I am on that side. Babies have no real immune systems and in our "Lysol age" most kids don't either. I personally would not feed my children raw meat, or uncleaned veggies no matter what paleo humans did.

Paleo humans were not the end all be all of our species you know.

raw : GO TO A DOCTOR, A REAL DOCTOR - NOW.

I'm sure you have the best of intentions in mind for your children but you're not qualified for this, the very fact that you're asking questions and asking about treatments...

Do what you want to yourself - but - GET YOUR CHILDREN TO A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL.

You eat raw animals, I don't see why this should be a big deal. If you went Paleo enough Halal/Kosher (same thing pretty much) looks amazingly civilized in comparison.

I think it's amusing when different meat eaters argue on how the meat should be killed, the point is, it's killed. Regardless of how it was killed.

It's sort of like lessening murder sentences if a gun rather than a knife was used.

REPLY:
Hope you continue to eat and enjoy your raw fish, as the worms, if eaten, seek a life in fish and not man so will die and be expelled eventually.   ENJOY RAW FISH!!!

Except no.

"Anisakiasis is a human parasitic infection of the gastrointestinal tract caused by the consumption of raw or undercooked seafood containing larvae of the nematode Anisakis simplex. "

Don't eat parasites in fish.

17
So if you are chopping or chomping into a nice piece of raw fish, and you see some wiggly critters aka parasites, what do you do? Stop eating and discard it? Or continue eating the fish along with the parasites?

Really?  ???

18
Yes, my 7 yrs old boy (past 5 yrs on RPD) has flukes and round worms and so does my 2 and half yrs old daughter (from birth follows RPD). Now i am treating them with rife frequency, castor oil pack and H2O2 foot soaking. But how I will replace raw protein to avoid flukes? Here are those special blood tests photos... (very powerful RIFE MICROSCOPE)

Go see a REAL doctor.

This is pure hyberbol.

The numerical upper limit of a sustainabile human population is unknown. It is totally dependent on circumstances beyond anyone's ability to foretell.

Who is to say that devices will not be invented that could create unlimited clean energy. New methods of food production could easily keep growing populations well fed, if the technology was applied properly.

Where there is a will there is a way.

Who is bill Gates to decide what is and isn't sustainable?

Our human species is 7 billion strong and with the ability of technology to connect us to each other I am sure we can work on solutions to better use and manage the worlds resources that don't involve mass extermination through War, Sterilization, and soft kill eugeniside.

There have been malthusian types since the dark ages hyping the nonsensical idea of overpopulation. Their ideas are just as idiotic today as they were back then.

You are kidding right? We don't know the limit? Have you looked at the state of the planet lately? I know we live in a nice place with lots of food and clean water, but we're very lucky! Most of the people on this planet live terrible lives and a lot of them are already starving.  We make war to sustain this level of existence for ourselves; stealing as it were.

So, we're already beyond the optimum population level in my opinion. As for technology, it will probably come someday but that's no reason to increase the suffering now. For example, a lot of the diseases that we fear now will probably have a cure in the future or even tomorrow afternoon, but, that said.. I'm sure that you're not going to take up smoking, heavy drinking and sex with HIV-Positive persons, are you?  Of course you're not because that would be an extremely foolish risk.

Right, now who is Bill Gates to decide? Well to be honest no one. He has no background in any of this stuff, but, with his money and influence he has connections to experts who do have the background and knowledge. Heads of state included. I should think that they know a thing or two about the global realities we face.

Who said anything about Eugenics, Sterilization? Birth control is working well enough.

As for War, war is the inevitable consequence of overpopulation. There are only so many resources and War comes when those resources become scarce or more valuable. Sort of like Oil.

Hey,

So being new to the board and going Raw..  I have a few questions when it comes to the diet. (If you have a sticky or wiki on it please link me!)

Ok, so I've kept my raw food consumption to mostly beef and eggs and fish that said...

I haven't tried lamb yet and I'm wondering about the safety of ...

Pork and Chicken, does anyone eat these raw? Is there a special preparation for these two that have a nasty reputation as the most dangerous raw meats?

Thanks.

I personally cannot stomach much cooked animal flesh/fat. I did that a couple times (years ago) and would feel bad as if I had a flu.

On the other hand, it appears that the vast majority of the paleo diet community (including gurus and authors of paleo diet books) eat cooked animal flesh/fat. How come so many people do so well with cooked paleo?

Simple, they've eliminated junk-food.

Even a 'cooked' Paleo diet consisting of Meat and Vegetables is leaps and bounds healthier than the modern diet of fast, processed, sugar-heavy garbage.

Bill Gates is doing the sensible thing. We need to reduce the overpopulation. It isn't just a question of numbers any more. We now have more and more people indulging in a profligate 1st world-style of living which can only lead to the destruction of the world's resources in time, as each human's ability to destroy his/her environment increases at a dramatic rate. I suspect that within a few centuries, if this goes on, our national parks will consist of just a half-dozen trees each, with all remaining animals in the world kept in zoos or  as pets.

Very well said.

In 2012, this will not happen even if you shout to the top of your lungs.
The depopulation masters have already succeeded.
Most people these days are so afraid of their own sexuality.
They are literally frightened to death to touch a bare penis to a bare vagina thinking they will get:
- aids
- some STD
- or worse... a baby!  Horrors!
(humans must be the most brainwashed of all animals now that many are afraid to reproduce)

So look, look at the population pyramid structures and graphs of declining fertility rates globally.

For most of the westernized contraceptive captured world, their bloodlines have zero future.

There are only a few who wake up to the reality of being human and they are persecuted and despised.

Sister Wives- Meet the Family Part 1

People like these will inherit the earth.

Humans all descend from the same Blood-line on their Mother's side since Mitochondrial  Eve. So, as long as one Woman in the world has a child your 'blood-line' has been passed on.

"People like these will inherit the earth. " --- If there is anything left to inherit.

If that man loves children so much, then why not adopt and have maybe 1 of his own?

I wrote this blog post for my counterpart religious pro-lifers.
Atheists and Real Healers think Contraception Sucks

http://www.myhealthblog.org/2012/03/05/contraception-obama-2012-atheists-and-real-healers-think-contraception-sucks/

Do you not think that it's a little irresponsible to promote sexual intercourse without Condoms? Sure, I agree that Condoms "suck" in regards to the sensation vs skin-to-skin contact but I'd rather that then be infected by a sexual transmitted disease.

Also, my grand-parents also had large families but we must put that into context.

1. The economy was better in general.
2. The world population at the time was not even 2 billion.
3. Society was far less complex and you could get by with far less education and certification etc.
4. Spending per-child was far, far lower than today.

When it comes to contraception in general, after the baby boom, it's a good idea. We must face the facts, we do need a reduction in the global population and promoting contraception is a very soft, easy, way to do it.

Because when resources become scant, we're going to have more Wars.

The best way to peace is to have less children. In fact any country that claims to value peace and is not actively taking steps to reduce their population by education are liars.

Yes, we can eat like our ancestors did but, breed like them? That's out of the question.
