General Discussion / Re: Searing/Blending Raw Foods
« on: October 29, 2011, 11:12:23 am »
I can't really see too much harm being done searing your meats - as long as you don't over sear it.
I have beef tataki quiet often & don't notice any difference compared to eating my muscle meats fully raw.

Sounds to me like it might also be the texture that you're not liking.

I just bought some organic diced lamb & gave all the pieces a good beating with my tenderiser - large chunks of raw muscle meat are much more pallatable when they're less chewy & tough.
I'm just waiting for my kimchi and lamb to get up to room temperature.... yum!

Also, try slicing the meats very thin like carpaccio.
The blending idea is also a very good one - something I'm waiting to try as soon as my stainless steel manual hand meat grinder comes in.

Goodluck

General Discussion / Increased muscle soreness after eating meat
« on: October 27, 2011, 07:57:29 am »
Hi guys, recently I've been getting back into exercise - weights / circuit training & a bit of cardio & noticed that straight after eating meat my muscles become alot more sore than when I've been eating just fruits, veggies & nuts throughout the day.

I usually eat my main, large meal which is the only meal for the day that contains raw meat / lamb for the day before training (mid afternoon).
Then after that I just have fruits & veggies  / juices for the rest of the evening.

Then, the following day I will only consume plant based foods - veg juices - fruits & some almonds & my muscles
feel fine  with just a slight bit of soreness from the previous days' training - but within about 20mins of consuming my only meat for the day (kibbeh nayeh - raw ground lamb dish) my muscles get ALOT sorer.

If I stick to plant based foods only, the soreness doesn't increase.

What do you guys think this could mean?

Thank you

He told me that eggs digest in 27 minutes & that I could eat this quantity due to that fact
Surprisingly he also recommended that I eat a serving of cooked starches everyday - rice

He informed me that my liver was very toxic due to the mercury poisoning & prescribed a diet of 18 - 24 raw eggs a day, with lots of raw butter & several cube sized portions of raw cheese & vegetable juices (even though I clearly stated to him that raw eggs & dairy do not work for me in any combination) though he did leave out the raw milk.
Pretty much the same diet he has outlined in his books, but with hell of alot more raw eggs & butter for me

He also checked the insides of my hands to check how my other organs were - adrenal, thyroid, lungs etc - all so-so according to him & the usual tory of how they're all laced with mercury

All in all, he's a very nice guy & I WILL give the diet a genuine effort for 6 months to see how I go - he suggested a year & a half for me to be in decent health & rid my body of the toxins / heavy metals

Hi guys - sorry for the late post on how my consult with Aajonus went - here it goes -

Apparently, he was unable to finish the seminar due to feeling nauseous the entire weekend - attendees were refunded a portion of their fees & the workshop was completed by two of his pupils (one from Canada & 1 from Australia I think)

When I met him , I asked him what had happened - he informed me that his body was detoxing due to the stomach operations he had twenty something years ago from the toxins / chemicals that were used

He then performed Iridolgy on me & then we examined the reults & he went on to say that basically my body was laced with mercury / metal poisoning - most things he pointed out were spot on & some were incorrect

I will take a few photo's & hopefully post here - I / we will get to see what he currently looks like
Will certainly be thanking him for pointing me in the right direction & most of us on the forum

GOODSAMARITAN -I Will give hug & shake his hand for you :)

FURION - Unfortunantly, the workshops were booked out by the time I secured a spot for the consult- so I will only be attending for the 70min full consultation - I will let you know what diet he recommends

I will hopefully report back Monday evening or Tuesday morning with how it went down

Primal Diet / GOING TO MEET AAJONUS ON MONDAY
« on: August 21, 2009, 07:46:56 am »
Hi guys, I'm from Sydney Australia & will be seeing Aajonus this coming Monday for a full (70 minute) consultation -

Has anyone ever met him before?

I've had health problems since I was a child - was never fed properly & when I was fed it was garbage - white bread, cookies, pasta, sweets, etc - it seems as though as I get older, the more problems I get - seems as though my lack of nutrition during my early years is catching up with me -

However, after recently going organic and eating raw meats & very minimal grains and processed food & no refined sugars at all, I find that I'm slowly but surely fixing myself

I've tried raw dairy(milk, butter, cheese) with the only result being phlegm & fatigue - same with raw eggs
I know that Aajonus is very big on these foods & hope he can devise a meal plan / diet without these ingredients

Raw red meat & fish with vegetables, fruit & nuts seem to work well for me - also raw honey

Has anyone had received a consult from him before?

What should I expect?

Any questions you guys would like me to ask him?

Thanking you  SAV

General Discussion / Mucus & phlegm?
« on: August 18, 2009, 12:02:56 pm »
Hi guys - I need to know what it means when the body produces phlegm (clear & green) after eating certain types of foods -

I've been eating whole raw organic eggs alot lately & find that I get some energy from it, followed immediately by phlegm building up in my throat & nose, then feeling a bit so-so

What does this mean?

I used to have the exact reaction when I used to consume dairy (raw milk) - is this my body's way of telling me that raw eggs or eggs in general are not for me?

Any helpful advice/ suggestions much appreciated      SAV

General Discussion / Re: Discolouration on fresh red meat
« on: August 18, 2009, 07:34:02 am »
Thanks for the helpful replies guys -
the meats were in vacuum sealed bags - I might try hanging them by placing a thread through the bag & leaving it suspended in the fridge, & also cutting a small hole in the bag to let some air in, as it appears that the part which has the pressure placed on it & least air, is the part that changes colour

When I used to have this problem whilst eating meat cooked, it didn't really bother me as the cooking covered it up

So it is still fine to eat if / when this happens again in the future?

Thanking you

General Discussion / Discolouration on fresh red meat
« on: August 17, 2009, 06:28:12 am »
Hello people, I've wondered since I was a child why red meat goes off in colour so rapidly - I purchased some organic pasture fed scotch fillet yesterday & it was nice & deep red all over - this morning when I when to take it out of the fridge it had greyish/ brownish patched on the bottom where it had been resting on -

same with some beef mince that I purchased - fresh looking & smelling on the outside but brownish grey on the inside with a tangy smell just like the steak

I'm wondering if this is normal on red meats as it almost always certainly happens to whatever quality meat I purchase

Are they still O.K to eat? - raw of course

Many thanks for any helpful opinions / advice

General Discussion / MINERAL WATER?
« on: July 24, 2009, 11:12:02 am »
Hi guys - I 've read quiet a few threads where some of you guys talk about drinking mineral water - is this carbonated regular supermarket stuff or regular flat natural springwater?

How would you guys incorporate it into you diet - with food or on its own?

Many thanks  Sav

General Discussion / COCONUT CREAM
« on: June 13, 2009, 01:20:40 pm »
HI guys, I've been visiting this forum for a few weeks now & have decided to join in & hopefully contribute / help out & learn just like the rest of you -

I've just downloaded AV's second book Recipe for living without disease

My question is regarding the coconut cream that is recommended for smoothies / meat meals etc -

It is pretty much impossible for me to make my own or buy it freshly made - so I can only resort to one source - it's called TROPICAL TRADITIONS COCONUT CREAM CONCENTRATE - all organic - no preservatives - 100% coconut

Is this fine to use? - what brand / form of coconut cream do you guys use / recommend?

Many thanks
