Health / Re: Hair Is An Extension Of The Nervous System

I'm dead serious. Women are not some new species that sprung into being with the invention of the razor. I could never figure out what shaving of legs and pits was about, so I never did it. And shaving pubes? what's that all about?

I'm not ignorant. I realize that some women do shave, but the logic of shaving escapes me. Smooth has nothing to do with it, because shaving causes stubble. Beauty has nothing to do with it, because beauty is not about hairlessness. I'm sure someone will post a list of superficial reasons for a woman to shave, so I guess it's about being superficial.

i believe it's actually a semi-pedophile type of thing - designed to make grown women look more like adolescent girls. (i'm female, btw.)

maybe a little on the outside, but mostly it just warms it up and makes the fat gooey :)  i think it takes a few days, for example, to dry the meat to jerk. so 30-60 min isn't much.

mmmmm. warm fat.. ;D nothing better...i think i'll have to buy some duck as soon as i can wrustle up some money.

i don't like eating cold meat either.  i either take out something in the morning to leave at room temp and eat later, or sometimes i use my dehydrator for 30-60min bcz i can set it to 85 degrees so the meat gets warm wo cooking.

the cut i get is based on price, availability and looks. i just try to eat from different animal sources.  others will give you a better answer probably re cut.

it doesn't dry out in that time? i have a dehydrator but it's still in the box so i have no experience how long it takes to do things.  -\

I would:

- load up on probiotics x5 to x10 the dosage
- I would NOT eat vegetables
- I'd eat raw fatty meats and raw fatty fish
- And minimize fruit.

Let the raw meat and raw fat and the probiotics heal the colon.

And then I would explore barefoot herbalist LBB capsules to restore colon strength.

thanks! what cuts would you recommend? yesterday morning i ate some grass-fed almost-raw marrow and almost-raw beef tongue; i warmed them up in the oven because the idea of eating them straight from the fridge was not appetizing. the rest of the day i ate cooked meat (out doing errands and eating out).

Health / distended colon (newbie)
« on: September 18, 2011, 01:41:09 am »
hi,

i'm new and just getting started. questions first so that you don't have to read too far if you don't want.  ;D

1. anyone have experience healing a distended or enlarged colon on RPD? did you have to give up all fruits and vegetables for good?

2. any problems with potassium dumping while switching to RPD with zero or low carbs? right now, my only carbs really are coming from raw honey added to tea several times a day (ginger tea, sleepytime at night). i also add some juice from Bubbie's raw sauerkraut.

3. would it be helpful to make bone broth for the minerals after eating as much of the marrow fat out of the bone raw as possible? maybe cooking it with knuckle joints for the collagen and gelatin?

4. does anyone have experience with Hydro-C, sold by the Fiber Menace author, versus other types of vitamin C for constipation? he has a minimum order of $40 and i'm wondering if it's really worth ordering something else. any experience with his probiotics?

i'm just starting out RAF. i had been about 90% paleo, eating most of my veggies and fruits raw, with raw eggs and liver added to raw fruit smoothies. after adding dry skin brushing about a month ago, i had a bout of constipation that started a roller coaster, culminating in abdominal pain and an x-ray showing a distended colon. i have a history of diverticulitis and had about 10" of my sigmoid colon as well as my gallbladder removed in 2004 just before i turned 33. i had been eating about 30 mg of fiber a day at that time. i'm ready to let the fiber go if it will mean that my colon will heal, hopefully shrink, digestion will return to "normal" (feels slow recently and kind of bloating), and the abdominal discomfort will go away. i saw a gastroenterologist yesterday who wants to do a colonospopy to look for partial obstructions, polyps or damage due to scarring around the previous surgery site. i'm hoping to make a big impact before then (mid-october). i'm currently trying to use Calm with Calcium (mag/cal supplement) and sodium ascorbate (vit c) to help with bowel movements so that i don't have to strain.

thanks for any help or ideas! truly! i'm anxious to get as healthy as possible as quickly as possible.  :)
