Okay, question. Would the ferrier's file work on marrow bones? Or are rib bones easier to file (i am assuming because of less density)

I am definitely doing this. Remineralizing ftw!!!

General Discussion / Evidence that raw fats are good for humans?
« on: December 27, 2009, 01:30:40 pm »
I'm looking for some kind of article or proof that raw animal fats are good for the body as opposed to cooked fats. My mom has these really wrong ideas on nutrition and she thinks that eating raw animal fats will clog my arteries. I keep trying to tell her that in the raw unheated, unprocessed form the fats and cholesterol are what we need but she doesn't believe me for whatever reason.

Thanks, thanks thanks in advance.

this is super hilarious. Maybe hes just the ultimate internet troll and hes coming up with all these kooky ideas to see how many people he can fuck with.

Cognitive dissonance and resistance to change are very powerful forces.
exactly. From my experience and observations most people don't even realize when their ego and unconscious defense mechanisms kick in.  Its very hard for most people to objectively see something without comparing it to their own ideologies and practices.

In his videos and writing, he seems really intolerant to raw paleo diets as well as other diets and somewhat egotistical. Sure he may be able to do lots of physical activity but his physique doesn't look very healthy.

As far as I know, most everything fringe-related says fluoride is a terrible, terrible poison. It decreases IQ, causes fluorosis, makes brittle bones, etc. etc.

mmmm sardines are amazing!! I have a middle eastern grocery store near me that has previously frozen raw wild sardines (from portugal, i believe) for only $3.99/lb. They aren't gutted so I get to enjoy the amazing innards mmmmm. I love the pieces of pure fat that are so creamy and delicious. After I eat the sardines I can feel my body flow with pleasure (prob from all the omega-3s). I just cut the heads off and eat the entire thing, I feel like the bones are helping with my mineral deficiencies. The guts are also probably nutrifying my corresponding organs too (I take out the colon, but is fish poop nutritious? just curious)

Health / Re: Qs re Candida and leaky gut-
« on: December 07, 2009, 12:45:12 pm »
I believe from everything that I've read that candida will keep growing if you still have heavy metals (mostly mercury) left in your system. If you do a full mercury chelation/detox regimen and really get rid of the mercury I think you will eliminate most of your problems.

Some other things that I've gone through that alleviate candida -

liver flushes

iodine supplementation

zinc supplementation

reduction of carbs/sugar

limiting meal size/not over-eating

General Discussion / How to consume bones?

I've read that its good to buy a horse-hoof file but I've also heard that people grind up their bones. I'm trying to eat the bones for all the minerals and nutrients that our bodies require for healthy bones and other body functions

Thanks for the kind words, rawzi. I'm only hoping that in the future they'll be able to see that my diet is in fact improving my health and not the opposite.

Sounds like they are psychologically ill.  It's sad when parents put their ills onto their children.  They need help.  You have to take care of you.  If they would be eating raw fish and raw chicken their nerves would calm with healthy strength and they could better interact with family.
Yeah, my mom does have some really weird mental issues. I'm just going to have to keep it a secret from now on. Shes really, really paranoid...

Yeah, unfortunately I am living at home and last night my mom had this really dramatic breakdown where she was hysterically crying  because of the fact that I eat raw liver, fish, beef, etc. This is getting sooo ridiculous. I said I would stop but I know for sure cooking meat is toxic. I am just gonna have to go incognito until I can afford to move out. ugh.

thank you guys for your replies but the thing is my mom is pretty over-protective and almost crazy and she worries and stresses herself out over everything. I would like to lessen her fear in some way because she thinks that if there is something bad happening to me, it won't show up right away and that when I get hurt it will be 'too late.'

I keep telling them that this is the best that I've ever felt on any diet, whether it be raw vegan, fruitarian (which pretty much ruined me for a few months) and they don't seem to accept my personal intuition as valid. I am just at a huge loss as to what to do. They think bacteria is the devil or something.

My whole family is worrying to death about my current new 'fad' diet with raw meat and they're constantly badgering me about not eating raw meat with all the bacteria and parasites. However, i know that what I am doing is good for my body as this uncooked meat is nourishing and my body responds very positively.
