Health / Re: Intestinal blockage
« on: January 05, 2015, 12:34:21 am »
I must agree with Jessica - I was overtrained as well and I started having some digestive problems (diarrhea, bloating), I thought it was because of some food intolerance so I cut eggs, grass fed butter, and other stuff out of my diet but it didn't work - I mean one day everything was fine and rest of the week I was waking up with diarrhea. I was walking, doing yoga and strength training and decided to reduce the intensity and stick only to gentle yoga and gentle walks. After a week I started feeling better and after 2 weeks my digestion was normal again!

You look great Inger!

I want to ask you about your favorite way of eating raw herring. It's the cheapest fish for me and I can afford it often for that reason.

Jessica - what are your favorite roots, seeds and fruits ?

I enjoy avocados, dates, peaches, raw egg yolks, raw salmon, bone broth (yes cooked), nori and kelp, carrots, parsnips, summer squashes, cucumbers (I love how hydrating they are), garlic, raw goat milk, butter, berries...

I had an ORGANIC cherimoya.......which I have to admit I was kind of under impressed :(  It tasted like a pineapple, but not as sweet or acidic with banana like texture.  My instincts told me it was something I probably shouldn't eat again, especially cause of my negative reactions to pineapples and how similar it tastes.  It probably was not the best quality because it had to be picked so soon to pack and ship.  But I figured it was a once in a lifetime thing unless I find myself under a ripe cherimoya tree :)  I saved the seeds, anyone have land in Columbia?

I have been eating a lot more aged raw rib meats and raw marrow lately, raw lamb shoulder chops, raw pork chops, moldy lamb fat that tastes like cookies, also some really high quality dates and dried figs from the tree at the house, lots of raw egg yolks from chickens fed sprouted grains and greens and eggs and kelp, raw grassfed swiss cheese, lots of cooked zuchinni, raw lettuce and fennel, small amounts of celeriac and jicama, coconut meat and Fuerte avocados, lots of seaweed and salt, much less herbal tea.  Also raw tuna from the pacific...

I love fresh dates ! I buy them in my organic store - they are fresh, sweet and delicious. I also use quite big amount of kelp and wakame on my fish.
Raw tuna is quite expensive where I live so I buy raw herrings and marinate them overnight with apple vinegar, onions and herbs.
I also eat salmon like it is my job, but I am worried about quality of them in my fishmonger so I ordered wild one.

Oh, and coconut water - I like to drink it after long walks or travels, when I feel dehydrated.

Jessica I just love the way You think. I see a lot of young women who want be skinny and this is their biggest priority. They do not care about health, they are always hungry and angry. I was there too. But now I prefer to eat as much as my body wants (of course healthy food) and be happy. As you said in our conversation - it makes me mentally stable.
