Yes, you are right.. but in my perception it kind of is. Since you are upping your fat intake compared to the 'conventional' diet and the starchy carbs sources are quite limited..

General Discussion / carb meal

Hey guys,

I just came across this great forum when searching online. Throughout the past week or two I've done some pretty extensive research on the whole paleo diet, more fats, less carbs, no wheat etc. I was trying it out but I am not sure about the results... as it is promoted, fats and protein should keep me satiated for longer. But comparing my meals, breakfast for example.. when I had scrambled eggs, bacon and some veggies - yes I wasn't hungry for some time. But the day after I tried just some plain old bread with chocolate spread (I know, 100% crap :P) but my hunger was almost on the same level as before.

The same with a lunch. For a week now I went clean, just meat, healthy fats and vegetables. Yesterday I had a big portion of spaghetti bolognese and I was observing myself. I wasn't tired afterwards and I was full until the evening (much longer than with my non-carb paleo meal) and I also had a great powerful workout at around 6 o'clock. What's more I wasn't bloated and gassy as usually from the veggies.

What's your experience with this? For me it's been too short to see any fat-loss results, but observing my energy I don't see a big difference. And of course, the 'traditional' starchy carb meals are much more conveninent :P
