Hot Topics / Re: Acid/Alkaline Theory of Disease Is Nonsense?
« on: September 30, 2011, 09:53:24 am »
Has anyone been following Matt Stone's blog recently? Lots of people trying the RBTI and seeing real results. Seems like acid / alkaline is only part of the equation, though an important one. Unlike the acid/alkaline people tend to think, however, it's not like everybody is too acid. You may well be too alkaline (like me) which also causes problems.

Hey Skinny - I have a question for you.

Have you ever calculated the amount of calories you eat every day? I remember you posted once that you eat mostly raw veggies every day and then occassionally gorge on meat for a day.

Well you need 3 things: Intent, Entitlement and Detachment.

Write these three words down. They are the keys to the kingdom.

Intent. You've got to decide once and for all that you're going to get wealthy. No half measures you either gonna do it or not. There's power in such a decision.

Entitlement. Do you feel entitled to have lots of money? Does it make you feel uncomfortable if you were to make one million every year? How about $750.000 a month? Still feeling comfortable or did you feel something contract inside your chest? I got most of you right there, didn't I?

Detachment. You've got to be emotionally detached from money. It's just paper with ink on it. You can have more of it by doing certain things.

Money is transferred from one person to the other by means of value exchange. That's the secret. You provide something the other person is willing to give you money for. Look around you, can you notice a need or a problem that a pretty large group of people is having? If not start paying attention, people complain all the time. Then ask yourself how can I solve this problem for them? See where I am going with this. It's just common sense but you are not thinking this way because you lack either one or all three of the above.

I actually gave some tips months ago. How many have used it to improve their situation in life? Has any of you picked up a biography of some of the entrepreneurs I mentioned? Why not? Probably because getting wealthy is not what you really want. You'd rather stay in the fucking poorhouse. That's your choice, I don't really care. But don't come here and tell me it's hard out there. Like you fucking tried and gave it all you got.

You know what's hard? Doing something you don't like for 8 hours every day for the rest of your life. Now that's really really hard.

Only YOU are responsible for the results you're getting and your excuses are just that, excuses.

Weak poll.

Anything lower than 100.000 means you're a wage slave aka someone's bitch.

People go out there a make a fortune for yourself. The money is out there you just have to take it.

It's never been more easy.

LOL how much do you earn?

Reminds me of this woman's writings:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galina_Shatalova

Quote
Her book Vybor Puti (The choice of the way), published in 1996, describes her system. One of the theories she attempts to debunk is that people require about 1200 to 1700 kcal a day. These figures date back to statistical research done in Germany at the end of the 19th century; she claims that that the requirements are in fact around 250 to 400 kcal, assuming a natural rather than processed diet.

Got her book (German translation) towards the beginning of my experiences with alternative diets / life styles. Failed miserably. Maybe it's fake, maybe some people can do it, who knows. It would be awesome if it were possible.

Soapnuts anyone? I use them for washing my hair. Wash my hands with water only most of the time. Only when really necessary I use soap, which is rare.

Well, I've had some very limited success in that my astigmatism got a bit better. I do get moments of almost clear sight sometimes, then I can read signs that are much further away than what I can read normally. Sometimes things also become clearer when I use eye excercises to relax more. But I think to make it work one has to permanently relax the eyes, and I just don't, especially when using the computer and when interacting with people I don't know very well. I think it takes very developed awareness to control oneself at all times or a change of character that makes one much more relaxed. Both anything but easy to accomplish.

I've been tinkering with Bates method, but no improvement so far, unfortunately.

However, I wanted to share something interesting. I know a pair of twins (one egg I think). They used to be near-sighted to the same degree till a certain point, but then the eyesight of one became better while that of the other twin became worse. The one who improved refuses to wear glasses most of the time, the other one always wears them. They also have somewhat different characters, the one who saw improvements is more outgoing and careless. She didn't do any excercise or whatever, and improved 2 diopters or so.

Not sure about the applicability, but it proves that the idea that poor eyesight is only due to genes is nonsense. Even my dad, who used to be staunchly opposed to 'nonsense' like the idea that wrong use causes poor eyesight (he was an ophtalmologist) recently told me that video games are being blamed for nearsightedness in Taiwan.

Raw Weston Price / Re: Where does he mention homosexuality

Err, last I checked, his son is rather young to be having any sexual notions yet, let alone gay ones!

I'm typing this in a dunkin donuts cafe for the internet wifi connection.
I got myself plain black coffee just as an excuse to have a seat and some internet.
Seems 50% of the males going in and out of this place are effeminate or homosexual.

I'm also thinking of the time when our first born son was 1 year old and he was effeminate, a toddler effeminate homosexual.

My wife and I took action and researched and found that SOYA, was a prime suspect for homosexuality.  In 2001 to 2002 my son was being given soya in the form of "Taho" everyday from a door to door vendor.

We stopped all taho and all forms of soya and soy food in our household.  Our son immediately became manly in a few weeks.  It was no coincidence.  It was as real for us as night and day.  Soya was making our first born child gay.

Our boy is now 8 and all male complete with erections.

Homosexuality was observed by POTTENGER in his cat degeneration experiments.
The cooked food cats degenerated to a point they could not reproduce the next generation anymore, homosexuality included.
The experiment ended because the cooked cats' blood line died off.

There is a separate Price-Pottenger foundation I think.

GS, didn't you mention something before about your son becoming gay and excluding soy solved this?

Surely color of the skin has nothing to do with rastafari... lol

12
Now I am not religious at all...I don't give care about god actually...however I do believe in a natural energy, or if you want to call it, 'spirit'.
Although I am not in 100% agreement with Rastafarian philosophy, I believe its a hell of a lot better then most modern philosophies/life-styles etc, they are a spiritual people that are able to maintain their beliefs in a peaceful way thats a lot less invasive and idiotic then most.

Yes, they are very peaceful, beating up their women and beating homosexuals to death in the name of Jah sure is peaceful. Anyway, you are white, right? How exactly can you support Rastafari then?

What a bunch of bullshit.

No, your post is. This actually happened. He didn't have any history of psychological problems. There is no way of telling who is predisposed to this and who isn't.

Weed is an ok substance imo,

Of course, that is undeniable evidence that it is harmless.

Quote
defand it can probably be used like other hallucinogens to overcome personal/psychological problems.

Ridiculous. It destroys peoples life. Many become apathetic and spend their days at home playing videogames and TV. I've seen it happen enough.

Consuming weed can make you a mental patient for life. Even taking it once. And it can happen every time after having been taking it for a long time. It happened to a guy I used to hang with. He had to go to hospital, didn't recognize anyone anymore. He recovered fully, I don't know if he is normal again. Some never recover.

And that for what "benefit?"

I agree. I feel a big part of your problems might be mental Yuri.

I dunno about that. Can mental problems really stop your digestion? I know dairy does that to me, no matter what's in my mind. I know I can be the happiest person, but eating the wrong things or doing the wrong stuff throws me off balance.

My lab results were also always "in range." The good doctors told me the same thing: It's a mental problem. However, I found out that changes in diet and lifestyle can make me feel better or worse, which in turn helps me mentally, not the other way round.

How I got to be comfortable in a low squat short term and moderately comfortable longer term:

a) doing the squatting motion (up and down) going as deep as I could when I went down.
b) box squats: squatting motion down on a box or whatever that you can sit on, then get up again (there are videos for this on youtube)
c) going into deep squat position with the legs very wide, then pressing the knees apart with my elbows and moving the hip from one leg to the other, stretching.

Putting the legs further apart and pointing the toes outside further makes it easier.

It could also explain Yuri's breakdown he described in his diary since intermittant fasting is also supposed to be taxing on the adrenals.

Raw Weston Price / Re: Fixing narrow palates and cranial deformities

I did answer this, but, I know, there's a lot of writing to get through here.  No, I didn't have any effects, but like letifer mentioned, Matt's point might be good at least for getting people to eat enough.  I like the idea that calories are good for you; and if you are to get enough, it's probably easier by including carbs.  Don't be afraid of glucose-- cells put it to good use!  Well, unless you have a problem managing glucose levels, which I can't help you with there.

It's not like I'm asking for help lol.
I'm experimenting with the RARF and it's been doing me a lot of good. I'm tolerating food a lot better now. Dairy is still highly problematic though. Recently I've added lots of spices, increased fat (was very low before, almost no added fat), added some sugar (rapadura) and keeping protein rather low. My energy is increasing, working out feels better than in a long long time, but sleep still sucks. I believe that is due to non-diet-related causes though. Dabbling in ayurveda now...

Also, I've also posted on NCR... just look for it earlier in this thread.  Should be easy to find because I have that same youtube video there.  I give my reasons for not trusting that either.

Yeah, I saw that you posted it before. But I didn't watch the "Face Restructuring" video properly... He does mention NCR and he says he is using the same principles... For sure I wouldn't try NCR, it seems so bogus. I'll try what the guy in the video suggests, after all it's for free.

http://180degreehealth.blogspot.com/2010/10/befriending-insulin.html

Matt's latest post. Quite interesting.

Quote
Insulin also works on an axis with the catecholamines – which includes cortisol. When insulin goes up, adrenal activity falls. When insulin goes down, adrenal activity picks up. Keep insulin too low for too long and you run the risk of adrenal fatigue. You are also likely to increase the activity of cortisol (which, unlike carbohydrate ingestion, actually DOES cause insulin resistance) by keeping insulin levels suppressed, which increases insulin resistance, decreases testosterone, decreases fat burning, and otherwise takes you ever-closer to metabolic syndrome.

Exactly what happened to me I guess. I had adrenal fatigue to begin with, eating low-carb made me feel awesome at first, but aggravated the problem. Interestingly, I felt the best when I was still eating some cooked rice and vegetables but with a lot of raw meat. After some months, the incredible energy I had felt at first waned. At the same time, insulin resistance increased to the point that any carbs were causing me big problems. My body however wouldn't let me go zero carb either because it didn't agree with me frying my adrenals. Eating 40-50 bananas a day restored my insulin sensitivity but caused me bowel problems in the long run. The initial bloating and gas diminished after a while but then came back with a vengeance.

I thought the effect would be more like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ngRpnBN3ag&feature=related
They access it through the nose, they use pressure... but maybe the pressure needs to be so high it would blow your eardrums lol... no idea...

You posted that stuff about Matt Stone and Insulin posts, right? Have you tried RRARF and to what effect?

I just had an idea... not sure if it's a good idea and possibly harmful... What if I put pressure on my nasal cavity... I would do that by either closing my nose with my fingers or closing the airstream inside my nos by contracting the muscles in there and exhaling at the same time. Could that encourage a widening of the airstream / skull? Just an idea, maybe somebody can comment on it.

Jared,

is your situation really that desperate? Can't you live with what you have? I think there are many ways for healing besides manipulating the jaw / skull. Some things we just have to accept. That doesn't mean they won't change later, but for the sake of inner peace accepting may be the best for now.

Eating their own feces is something a few herbivores do, mainly those that do not have the multiple-stomach digestive system of ruminants.  Omnivores, with the exception of pigs (which eat anything) and occasionally chimpanzees (which are largely herbivores in the wild) generally don't eat feces.  We're omnivores.  Feces is not something we're probably supposed to be eating.

And chill out.  No one's attacking you.  If AV wants to defend himself, he's capable of doing it himself.

That "vladimir" guy's posting style looks suspiciously familiar...

The durianrider article...

I've seen some of his videos about AV, and there were a lot of untrue statements he made in those.

Quote
Aajonus talks about eating green bananas vs ripe ones and that you should eat lots of white bread baguettes with raw unsalted butter if you get low blood sugar.

The second part of the sentence isn't true... He advised eating a little refined starch with an equal amount of butter, not eating lots of baguettes.

Quote
One recipie Aajonus Vonderplanitz advises is ‘a cut of fatty meat, smeared with your own faeces and put inside a glass jar in the fridge for 6months plus.’

Well... That's not in his book and I don't believe it. The only feces he "recommends" in his books is that of ruminants, and in fact he doesn't recommend it, he just says that it has the same benefits as high meat and that he gave it to a woman who wouldn't wait for her high meat to be ready.

About his friends / roommates, there was somebody who commented one of his videos where DR told the story about the dead girl / woman, and the person who commented said that the dead female didn't truly eat what AV recommended. DR made a comeback, which made it clear that he actually new the person who commented. So... that is at least a clear hint that DR wasn't entirely truthful on that.

Of course I don't know the real story of the dead female or the guy who ended up in the ER, but some people just take the healthfood things to certain extremes. I read that in the 60s when macrobiotics were hip, some ex-junky drank a bottle of tamari (kind of soy sauce) and died. Well, the macro gurus certainly had not recommended anything like that, so it appears to have been entirely his fault.

Those guys are nuts. I've done sparring with the light kind of rattan sticks... It was painful enough. Huge bruises that took weeks to go away. These guys use the heavy version... crazy.
