This technique is practised by athletes worldwide. A number of us RPDers, myself included, have started a raw, palaeolithic diet while being physically impaired, so the above idea might be useful for them. In my own case, I had developed severe muscle-weakness and chronic  fatigue pre-RPD diet, and it took a number of months on this diet before I became even vaguely physically capable.
