Rafer Christmas
« on: May 05, 2009, 06:15:39 pm »
Last Christmas I made a very stupid mistake and bought an organic christmas pudding(ie without vegetable-oils etc.) and vomited for days as a result. Next christmas, I'd still like to celebrate some "normal" form of christmas without compromising my ideals. I've always eaten raw turkey for christmas since going RAF, but, instead of the christmas pudding(minus the brandy butter), I may be forced to try other possibilities. I've thought of buying eggnog, preferably organic. Trouble is that I think the stuff usually involves ading cream or milk - does anyone know for certain of a dairy-free eggnog(preferably organic)? I believe there are versions involving raw eggs? I might just consider just  using brandy and filling it with raw eggs.

I think eggnog by definition is dairy and eggs.

Well, it's dairy, eggs and alcohol(usually brandy). But one can make non-alcoholic eggnog.Oh well, I think I'll just get a high-grade brandy and fill the glass to the brim, each time, with raw eggs,

First thought is goose, second thought is that they are all grain fed, on the third hand they naturally eat grain.
I can' think of anything healthy for Christmas.
