Kidney Filtration

I understand how important it is that the kidneys are filtering properly but is this guy on the right track?

I agree with the video that kidney filtration is important to good health but I think where it and similar videos get off track is the thinking that a dry fast will increase  the filtration. It seems kind of obvious that all that is happening is that it's being concentrated. Is my assumption correct?

When you google kidney filtration you get all kinds of medical information and advise but when you do a youtube search it seems to be dominated by these kinds of videos.
