Interesting point re air-pollution

It seems I made a false assumption as regards the notion that there is always less air-pollution in rural areas. What is interesting is that the article points out how much of the pollution is caused by heating for the purposes of cooking or central heating. So, the solution to global warming etc. may just be that humanity gives up all cooking and central heating(well, and diesel/petrol as well, I guess).
