Amazingly, Libtards in Germany for once, without realising, made an inadvertent publicity-campaign on behalf of buying food produced much closer to home:-

Realistically, it always seemed a bad idea to buy (low-quality) bananas and mangoes etc. produced 1000s of miles away, while European fruits which thrive better in our climates, such as medlars etc., could be consumed instead without needing such vast transport costs and efforts. And buying (foreign-produced) coconut oil and palm-oil ruins the environment to an even greater extent.
