Cured chocolate addiction with meat
« on: November 06, 2017, 04:57:05 am »
My lifelong addiction has been chocolate, sounds like a joke for some, but for some people chocolate can be really addictive. Been eating it almost every day since I was 5 or 6, and was able only once before to stay away from it for a longer period of time, when I was a fruitarian  and staying in the tropics. But fruitarianism does not work for me in Europe, I freeze and get craving, so ended up eating loads of fruiits AND chocolate...
Meat can give me some sort of bio-chemical bliss/calm that I have not felt otherwise with other food, I think zinc is also what I need. I thought I was allergic to oysters, but I realize that my rashes that I get from eating theim are because of too much minerals and /or overload of copper (chocolate is full of copper). Used to eat a lot of shellfish etc but cant stand them anymore, as for meat , I can manage small amounts of it, as I have been a vegetarian/vegan for such a some time before.  And cooked meat gives me a very heavy feeling in the stomach, so eating raw meat is easier for me that cooked.

Good to hear. While some RVAFers  advocate eating raw mono diets involving very little variation, I find, increasingly, on this diet that I always need to change my diet around every few months or I start finding the food I eat to be too bland..Goes in line with Instincto theory.

Ok, I'll keep that in mind.
Travelling has also given me the chance to experience a big variety in food, if you're in a place for instance offering lots of different good options... India for instance would be harder I guess than south east Asia, as in India most food is based on Dalh (lentils), chapatis (bread), rice and curries (with huge amounts of rice and little veg ) and cooked dairy. I also find that Indians in general have more grey hair than south east Asians. There is (in general) more poverty in India than in South east Asia. It's true that there are quite a few people with bad teeth in SE Asia, but in general I would say that in India, loads of people are without front teeth. My point is that in Laos for instance, they eat lot's of different  strange things :bats, grubs, frogs, ducks, everything from the buffalo, all sort of Mekong-fish - from tiny ones to huge carps, and they seem real healthy...
I can imagine it must sometimes be quite challenging to travel, not necessarily far away, as you  would need either to bring your own food or make compromises...or fast...

It all depends on where  you travel. In   the 90s,the US was  absurdly hysterical about  anyone transporting oranges etc. over State lines, yet I never had a problem in taking a vacuum-packed raw wild hare carcass on my hand luggage when flying within the EU. I find that partially-dried beef jerky is good enough for the first few days and I can always go raw vegan or fast if I have to.

Sweet. I also had and sometimes still do cravings for chocolate and ice cream. When I obtained raw pork fat, I noticed that it felt like ice cream was an inferior substitute to the raw pork fat - kind of like pork fat with too much sugar. I also had less of a craving for the chocolate.
