Online comment in the article:-

"It is a vicious circle. More online shopping means less reason for walking but also less shops and therefore even less reason to walk." This sort of thing has made me try and avoid buying from amazon, and trying as much as possible, if I have to buy online, to buy from online shops that also have physical outlets as well.

The other big problem in this, the worst post-palaeo age, is that we have instant gratification(via alexa/siri etc.), thus enabling vast debt-accumulation, and near-instant opportunity to fulfill any    desires such as hunger, sexual desire and the like, thus leading to obesity, porn-addiction etc. etc. The previous generation in my family had to endure years of starvation during childhood due to wars(WW2), did not always have central-heating and had to endure a lot of things no one now has to, such as imminent frostbite etc.
