Infrared experimentation/biohacking
« on: March 31, 2018, 06:46:32 pm »
Having had remarkable success with the Vielight Neuro Alpha and Gamma headsets(they seem to enhance mental acuity/IQ etc.), I am now planning on experimenting with devices from Red Light Man. There are some remarkable stories re this infrared light therapy in the biohacking community:-

I have just tried c. 10 minutes with this red light combo device and I feel a lot better. Obviously, for best results, I had to take off all my clothes to get better penetration by the infrared rays. I have also done some research on the negative aspects of blue light. Apparently, unless one has thick curtains to block the light etc., one suffers re obesity etc. etc. if one is exposed to blue light when at night. Street lights now have led etc. which is very harmful to human health, whereas the campfires/candles etc. of past ages did not have such a harmful effect.

I have decided to buy an anti-bluelight pair of glasses from amazon.de. I personally loathe amazon, and hope that Trump will destroy them but perhaps others here might be able to cite alternative EU sites that would be a better choice? Trump is incredible - never thought that a politician other than Ron Paul might actually do what the voters want.

This infrared device(body light combo) has been a godsend. It really boosts my sports performance and my testosterone levels have soared as well as my levels of alertness and concentration. Testosterone is linked to alertness in men, so that's not surprising. I definitely recommend this to forum members. Marvellous gadget. There are much cheaper versions on the red light man website.

Ive tried to educate people about red light therapy for years, and very few people realize how safe and effective it can be for providing a general array of benefits. I bought a standard tan bed and converted it with Red light therapy bulbs and will use it regularly in the winter time when I cant lay out in the sun.

Tyler, which unit did you purchase, as there are several?  Do you still get results?  thanks

I did some research online, and it seems the expensive, american ones only use 2 or 3 wavelengths, in most cases. The red light man guy uses 4 wavelengths, although, admittedly, he , like all others, has not yet used the wavelengths between 1000 and 1200nm(there are studies showing that those may also be effective in some cases). I bought 2 devices from redlightman, 1 of which is like a lamp/torch with a plug, costing   114 euros,
https://redlightman.com/product/red-infrared-combo-mini/
and a bodylight combo 2.0 which cost  https://redlightman.com/product/combo-bodylight/ 840 euros. The torch/lamp is easy to take via flights while the other one should be hung from a strong, secure knob on a wall.  More info on the site re benefits and required exposure times:-

Yes, I still get results. It's quite amazing how quickly one gets an effect from just placing the torch facing to one's testicles for 3+ minutes, for example. Not only does that increase sex-drive via testosterone-boosts, but increased testosterone also leads to increased alertness. But there are other effects. For example, try drinking some wine until you're tipsy, and then focus the torch on your brain-area(60cm range max for the torch, far more for the bodylight combo 2.0), and you will see a negation of some of the effects. I also use the devices before doing kettlebell training as it really boosts the mitochondria in the muscles. Natural sunbathing simply does not provide the same benefits, and can cause sunburn etc.

Oh, the catch is that the red light man website/company is a single-man enterprise, so often several products are out of stock, temporarily. In such a situation, I would recommend contacting the guy and asking him to reserve an item for you once it's been made so that you can then buy it.

Incidentally, I once wrote about a Richard Wrangham claim which was that through domestication/Neolithic civilisation, we and other animals like goats, sheep, dogs, horses etc.  lost c.10% of our brain-volume along with lowered testosterone levels. This has been proven via studies.

I purchased a used single side tanning bed for 100$ on craigslist
http://www.staytannorth.com/canopy.html

Then I bought a pack of Red light Therapy bulbs on Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AIROBM2/ref=twister_B01AIROBKY?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

All together around 400$ and it works well,
I use it primarily in winter time to help perk up and feed the cells some extra light when I cant get any natural sun.

You could also buy a standard tanning bed and convert it to red light therapy if you have the space and $
