This article about high intensity training was interesting...you don't need to do endurance training to get endurance.

I found it interesting that it increased the number and size of mitochondra in cells - might explain why it seems to be helping me adapt to high fat/lo carb quicker.

Ok, I go to market at least once a week and carry several kilos of stuff.

I wonder if having sex once a week counts.  :o

I think I need more exercise than 6 mins a week.

The were studying endurance, but the author keeps saying "fit" as if the terms were synonymous.

The answer to the question, I suspect, is "no". You can increase your endurance, it seems, but I would guess that if one is looking to be "fit", one has to work out a bit more than that.

It is actually 18-27 minutes...30s completely all out then 4mins rest, repeated 4-6 times. I reckon that would give you serious sprint fitness anyway.

I learned from Lex Rooker that a raw Paleo diet can add mitochondria to your body's cells:

I had known that dietary change could treat mitochondrial diseases, but didn't know it could increase the biogenesis of mitochondria.

Omega 3 fats and resveratrol, which are found in Paleo foods, have been identified in increasing the number of mitochondria:
