Watery Stools
« on: October 13, 2009, 11:04:08 pm »
Hello People.

For the past 5 days i've embarked on a omnivorous paleo diet consuming probably 2 pounds of ground beef a day. i would eat a baby red tomato and an avocado, and drink an egg before I start eating anf another one after i finish eating.   I have also been consuming chucks of beef fat with every meal.

Ever since last night, I fell as if i have a fever and my waste has been watery/loose.  And i've been feeling these periodic pains that come n go as if my body was tryna get rid of some waste, but did not get rid of any ( cant explain the pains, if i knew the human anatomy well I could point out where the pain was).

I'm sure there are cases of this on the board, i did some searchin but each case was different so i'd just like a few different perspectives on this.

My Body had been digesting raw meat fine when i first started. Of course i'll give it some time, but just really wanna know whatsup with this.  Could it be the ground beef?   I really cant afford anything else right now in terms of more solid meat.

To know for sure you would have to take your stool to the lab.
Otherwise we can only speculate.

It could very well be you got some kind of unfriendly bacteria.  Cholera does similar thing only on much bigger and nastier scale.  Usually this goes not last long.

Ground meat is especially vulnerable for bacteria contamination.  Solid meat, on the other hand,  is sterile inside, only surface can get contaminated.

If you have a good stomach with super strong stomach acid, then it should take care of any bacteria.  Otherwise it might pass thru and there you have it.

Thanks for responding.

I still have Ground beef in the fridge. And i havent eaten anything since yesterday afternoon.

I'm not sure at this point if its wise to eat anything raw until later?

I cant take my stool to a lab, dont have the money for it.

i got tummy aches when i ate too much fat at first.

are you eating when your hungry and vagueing keeping a realistic ratio of protein/fats?

also i personally wouldn't eat the tomatos or avocados, but rather a small portion of some wildish berries like cranberries, red/black currents - or less if they are more sugary like cultivated blueberries. Or none.

also what are you eating habits?

 only eat when I'm hungry.

I guess I'm slacking on the protein/fat thing.  I kinda paid it no mind just eating chunks of fat with ground beef.

I eat morning/noon, evening and night.   Pretty much the same thing, ground beef raw eggs.

I also have a mild cough.

Would it be wise to eat right about now,  my stomach is killing me

No it would not be wise to eat when you are ill - intermittent fasting has worked for practically everybody.

I'd suspect the veggies, as I ate ground beef for years, not a problem although it must have been loaded with germs.

Perhaps too much fat. Maybe work out the vague ratio of protein/fat. A few weeks ago I was eating excessive ammounts of fat, which gave me tummy aches and watery stools.

Well i'm feeling much better today.   I think i'll wait until I have enough money for grass-fed meat before i start consuming any raw meat again.

I felt absolutely horrible, not sure if it was "unfriendly bacteria"  "fat" or the grainfed..
