Liquidising question
« on: March 25, 2010, 06:19:23 pm »
I've just had my new dental appliances fitted, and I have really gone off "chewing" for now.

I want to liquidise my meat and fat, but don't think the result will be liquid enough to drink through a straw.  I'm not keen on diluting it with tap/distilled/mineral water.  What about cucumbers?  Someone told me they are 98% water - high quality water indeed, with lots of plant based nutrients.

Is it bad (for digestion) to mix raw meat and plant matter?  (I've been eating my meat totally mono so far.)

You don't really need to chew your meat. You can just bolt it down.

I have tried this, but looking back I think I was trying with chunks that were too big.  Re-appraising it, I can see what I was doing wrong.

(All day long I have been thwarted in my search for a straw wide enough to take liquid food.  I think you have solved my conundrum.  Thanks.)

(I didn't want the cucumbers/liquid mix anyway.  I love mono meals, exactly as they come, because I can't see us taking cucumbers on the hunt way back when.  ;D )

I am going to have my palates widened and moved forward using modified advanced lightwire functional expanders.  I read about them in another post on here:

... which I can see you've contributed to wodgina.  (I found someone using the links.)  It was a very useful thread and stopped me going the surgery route!

I just had my first "bolting micro chunks" meal of fatty lamb chops.

It's the first "pain free" meal I've had in days, so thanks again.  ;D

Some say tomato mixes best with meat, out of plant kingdom food items.  I've made blender meals before (not including meat for this one), and I like using a sharp knife to peel the tomato, then blender small cut pieces of the other foods into it.  That's worked well for me.  Tell us what you find.  I've also blended raw chop bison meat and raw liver together into raw cream and natural sparkling mineral water, and that was pretty good, but I didn't make it thin enough for a straw.  I don't know if I would enjoy it three days in a row either.  Maybe blend with soft bone marrow instead of cream.  Eggs could be another option as a meal, no liquidising necessary there.

Thanks RawZi.  I'll try a liquidised meal with tomato one day for variety.  I haven't tried raw eggs yet.  (Only the dairy's not for my brand of Paleo puritanism - unless I'm in SAD relapse mode.  ;D )

check if tomatoes will cause you inflammation
tomatoes are nightshades and they are well known to cause inflammation.

I guess some people could get inflammation even from organically grown non-gas ripened tomatoes.  I mentioned the tomatoes though; because for mixed meals rather than mono-meals many people in my experience seem to do better using raw tomato with raw meat than almost any other fruit or vegetable with their raw meat.

Thanks RawZi.

You're welcome.  Good luck and good health!
