miles is an old member, I'll take a look.

donnaj867 is new, that may be fishy, thanks!

miles does not have a spam link in his signature any more than you have a bell-end in your profile picture, what are you on about?

I don't know you boss. To me the utility discount warehouse club or whatever looked like spam...I don't know why it's linked here but if you have a reason, whatever. Maybe you all don't know about it, and it's just coming up for me for some reason

Is anyone else seeing ad links in users sigs?

Yes.
Maybe miles works there? I don't know, it looks spammish to me as well but he's definitely an established member here.

It just looks like it old chap. IMO there's a difference between say GS stating that he's available for IT work, and just linking to a site that wants people to sign up. A couple more people have joined with links in their sig to a couple of things, maybe that's genuine as well but it all looks dodgy. You have some good things to say and I don't wanna have a problem with you, but IMO it muddies the waters if there are real spammers about and may undermine your credibility. Up to you at the end of the day though.

It is up to you if you want to sign up for something or not. I am not a Jedi(so whether or not you are weak of mind, is irrelevant)... I'm not sure what you mean 'a site which just wants people to sign up', the site is not capable of such desire, it is I who put the link in my profile, for it is I who would like that people see my site, and have the ability to decide for themselves. I would not have it in my signature, or be involved with it, if I did not think it was good. A lot of people save money with the 'Discount Club', and aside from anything else, there are no minimum term contracts, so 'just signing up' would benefit no one. I would have no interest in someone using any of their services, if it was not in their own interest to do so... As for validity, the company itself, 'Utility Warehouse' is the trading name of 'Telecom Plus PLC', a major public limited company, listed in the FTSE 250 and which has been trading since 1997; listed on the LSE since 2000.. I am a customer myself... The link is even labelled as exactly what it is, there is no illusion.

"The Force can have a strong influence on the weak-minded."
-Obi Wan Kenobi to Luke Skywalker.

"Your mind powers will not work on me, boy."
-Jabba Desilijic Tiure, in Huttese, to Luke Skywalker.

Obi-Wan: "These aren't the droids you're looking for."
Stormtrooper: "These aren't the droids we're looking for."

"No, they won't-a. What? You think you're some kind of Jedi, waving your hand around like that? I'm a Toydarian. Mind tricks don't work on me. Only money. No money, no parts, no deal!"
-Watto to Qui-Gon Jinn.
