Organs and Muscle Meat
« on: August 17, 2010, 05:49:12 am »
Is it ok to mix organ meats and muscle meats in the same meal? Also is it ok to consume a different organ on one day and consume another the next (different meals)? I'm trying to avoid eating too much.

That's fine.

I recently heard from the guy I get my grass fed beef from that it's better to eat them together in the same meal. That was for people eating it cooked though and I haven't been able to find any articles about it, but ya it should be fine :)

Wild animals eat the organs first then go for the muscle meat.

Hey I have a question, does anyone know if you need muscle meat? Is it ok to only eat organ meat and fat? I'm eating eggs too ATM, some greens and avocado also.

heart is basically a muscle meat anyways huh

I got a cow brain but it cost me $25 and it was only a pound x)

yeah i would actually recommend that, i usually eat the organs first though,
no reason, they might digest faster though, i don't think it matters though,

i think organs don't last as long fresh, so perhaps our ancestors chose to eat them up first,

i can see it this way, when they killed something the size as a water buffalo, the organs were prob gone in the first day or two if the group size was above 10 or so (just guessing), so eating a good sized organ meal twice a week sounds most realistic,

they prob had a bit of everything, some liver, some heart, some brains etc. all in one sitting
