dairy withdrawal and mucus
« on: August 31, 2010, 02:06:39 am »
i have given up my raw dairy about 2 weeks ago and i of course went through some discomfort.  my question is how long does it take to rid my system of the excess mucus?  i still have post nasal drip from it.  i know it's the dairy bec. this is the only time i experience excess 'slime'.  will the dairy proteins remain in my body for awhile longer?  just curious if there has been any studies done on the length of time dairy stays in one's body.   :)

Not sure. This was years ago, but I vaguely recall that it took some time before I got 100% rid of the excess nasal mucus I got from the raw dairy, once I cut it out. It certainly couldn't have lasted more than 4 months of being rawpalaeo, and most likely much, much  less, as 4 months was when I clearly remember that all  the symptoms I had ,which were clearly directly caused by dairy, completely vanished.

so a few weeks isn't quite enough time?  i think i've heard that one has to be off it for at least a month (if i recall correctly).  just another reminder of why i need to stay away from it ;)
