Water effect on Skin.
« on: September 06, 2010, 08:59:30 pm »
If one spends long in a tap-water bath or shower one's skin can get dry and one's palms and soles can wrinkle up. I was wondering what the difference is when one bathes in sea/river water compared to tap-water..?

It's the same in river water. I don't recall if I wrinkled up like that in seawater but I assume so.

I've been surfing a lot latley, somtimes 4 hours per day.  My skin never gets wrinkly.  I think it has too do with water temps maybe?  Usually start to get wrinkly when I'm in hot water for prolonged periods(i.e jacuzzi)

Might also have something to do with the salt content...
