My dinner
« on: July 16, 2010, 04:06:11 am »
Today I selected my dinner between three dishes:

First plate:

These are langoustines fished in the Atlantic Ocean.

Second plate:

A mackerel and a piece of halibut, rested from my yesterday dinner.

Third plate:

Today I was really a lucky fisher :). After three years of looking for wild salmon I found someone in a big supermarket in Luxembourg.

My nose selected the langoustines. They tasted wonderful and I was completly satisfied. :) I tried a little piece of the salmon though it didn't smell anyway to make my body know with the new product.

Presently I think shellfish is tastiest too.

From the mackarel I spit out the bones, if they were to hard to chew. And I eat the innards only when the fish is fresh, otherwise they taste very bitter till now.

The last days I prefer meat for dinner:

This peace of lamb has a wonderful taste, thanks to a lot of fat. And I like it very much to chew the ends of the ribs. :)

Nice photos. We need more photos of raw dishes to show the newbies.

Yesterday I had a very successful haul  :) :

I bought this wonderful fish in a nearby supermarket. It`s wild, of course, cultivated salmon isn´t suitable for raw eating.

The smell was pleasant and I was very attracted by the head of the fish, particularly by the eyes. I started my dinner eating the two eyes und continued with other parts of the head, for example the gills. Suddenly I lost my interesst, but I wasn`t really satisfied with the little portion of fish. So I smelled my meat and found a hock of a dear very attractive.

I ate a lot of this peace of meat and finished my dinner very satisfied. :)

Today I ate about 100 Gramm of the Salmon. That portion was enough to satisfy me, so it wasn´t necessary to combine anything else.
