Finger infection

Any paleo suggestions on dealing with a finger infection (its at the finger tip by the cuticle)? Usually when this happens I just go to the doctor to get antibiotics but im trying to avoid it.

Dip it, smother it, in FAT.
If I had ghee, or virgin coconut oil, or live beef fat (tape it with bandage to keep it on).

OK this is not a paleo solution but its a lot simpler and safer then taking antibiotic.
I had the same infection years ago, my finger got red, hot and swollen at the tip, I went to a good doctor who just told me to go home and do this:
You basically dissolve a little bleach in a lot of warm water, and soak your finger, it will take a while, keep re-soaking it and you will see on the side of where its swollen there will be a whitish area appearing, thats the pus coming to the surface (  ) .
Once you see that, take a sterilized needle and lightly spear the white part, you will see  coming out, just gently apply pressure and it should all come out  after that it will just heal, and your pain will ease right away.

A cheaper solution is my personal favorite, sodium hypochlorite (common household bleach). One or two capfuls of bleach in a small basin or sink makes a very effective antibacterial soak that does not injure the tissue. You have to be careful not to the the child drip or splash this solution around on the rug or towels, and you should finish the soak with a rinse of clear water for that reason.

Right on Yuli.
That's what we did to my then 3 year old boy who had an internal toe infection.
After squeezing out the pus, we pounded some bitter melon leaves as a disinfectant / antibiotic.

    Honey to draw things out, but it will keep it moist.  Clay to draw stuff off yet seal too.  Watch the Masai put it on cow neck holes.  Their cows don't suffer infections doing that.

According to a show I watched about the post-apocalyptic, without antibiotiics you face certin-death from any cut. I've never conciously decided to use antibiotics though and've had plenty of cuts. Though I was injected with a load of shit when I was a child, and my mother liked(&still likes - I have a younger sister) to prescribe paracetemol/calpol etc for everything, +other stuff... I had convulsions for years after my parents allowed me to be raped by doctors with mmr jabs.

I'm not familiar with such an infection.

wet bentonite clay works wonders. i had a nasty cut from a rusty saw on my hand about a year ago. i kept applying wet clay to it and then took it off before it dried completely and reapplied. it literally sucks out the pus and infected stuff. the doctors wanted to give me all kinds of antibiotics and a tetanus shot, but i just used clay... healed completely in a few days. also, to prevent cuts from getting infected in the first place, keep a bag of cayenne powder with you (learned from GS). just mash the powder into the cut right when it happens. heals really fast and no risk of infection.

Interesting, Yon. I will buy both just in case. I have had cuts before after going rawpalaeo, and had no issues at all, but it's worth playing safe.
