Are humans true carnivores?
« on: September 30, 2011, 02:51:29 pm »
Similar to wolves?

Canines still eat vegetation. My old boss at the vegetable farm said something was stealing melons, so he stayed up late and watched to see and it ended up being coyote.

There is an interesting article by Barry Groves entitled "Vegetarians have smaller brains".

Personally I believe the reason why humans love animals so much, is not at all because we aren't supposed to eat them, rather that we depend on them for our health and well being.

The first time my friends and I slaughtered a goat, my buddy and I instinctively ate the fresh heart and liver. I had never even really given eating raw meat much thought, but had read about it from Sally Fallon. She seemed to think it was somewhat risky though. However at that moment it really seemed like the right thing to do. Just like any other carnivore no?

Carnivorous frugivores or frugivorous carnivores.

Another interesting tidbit, I have heard humans have over 7 times the amylase in out saliva as chimps. We have started to adapt to eat starch, but we haven't gotten very far have we?

This topic should really go in the raw zero carb forum. Moved there now.

Yes we can digest them but they are terrible for our bodies.
