Pancreatic Deficiency
« on: May 10, 2012, 04:14:07 am »
I had my pancreatic enzymes tested recently and they were found to be very low. Do you think I would benefit from eating pancreas?

I think you might benefit from 10Zymes or at least Vitalzymes until you get your pancreas up and going strong again.

A friend of mine healed her dog's pancreatic cancer mostly with diet and pancreas supplements.

Raw foods are the foundation to helping a pancreas heal - takes off loads of stress. So you're already on the right track.

definitely take some enzymes and be super careful and moderate on fats and carbs until you do, the pancreas is also in charge of insulin so i would stay way from large amounts of either at one meal, best to eat a few small meals, maybe 3 and a snack if you can, that are balanced and nourishing....!

Good advice to eat lots of small meals me thinks Jessica. Each meal less stress and stabilized blood sugars until strength is re-gained.

I also have seen that the problem lies actually in the liver/GB.  If its jammed up its hard to get things moving in the pancreas.  I have done 3 liver flushes so far and after each time i feel not only the liver/GB empty, but it emptys the pancreas also.  Lots of gurgling down there haha.  I think gurgling is good, better than stagnation.  I agree.

-raw foods (nutribullet, juicer, for helping digest veggies)
-eggs, avocados, good oils, fats
-rare proteins or raw if your doing that now
-fermented veggies can help digest things as well

But really i think cleaning out the bowels and liver, and then cleaning up the diet are good too.

On another vein, if your familiar with the chakra system, the 3rd chakra is related to liver/GB, pancreas, stomach, digestion.  It can be blocked if you have issues with self-esteem, sensitive to criticism, perfectionism, expressing yourself, etc.  When we are blocked in certain areas, the energy doesn't flow to the organs and they can't function well.

I'd go on foods that are easy to digest: fruits (max 1 at a time), egg yolks, and fish.
