Vague article on instant messaging

A recent article from the Daily Telegraph stated that the younger generation now all use instant messaging services like twitter and facebook rather than using e-mail. Sounds appalling to me, as I am well aware of the limited level of communication of such sites. That said, perhaps we could do a rawpalaeo version of instant messaging? Maybe it might work.
