Do you just not eat as much?
« on: March 15, 2012, 11:57:20 pm »
Ever since the switch from predominately 811rv with some cooked carbs here and there to adding in some raw fish and some eggs I've noticed that I'm just not hungry all the time.  It doesn't feel like I've lost me appetite or anything I know right now I could eat a whole chicken if I wanted to I just don't want to.  Does this normally happen?  I still eat just not as much, I am eating about 10-30% less calories in a day.  I feel satiated pretty much all day long.  When I do eat it's been a moderate amount.

I have the same experience. I've heard it called the natural stop.

When I ate cooked foods, there was no natural stop sensation, but it is always there with raw eating. When I ate raw vegetarian foods, I was always dissatisfied with food amounts and binged on raw nuts. As an overweight person, I appreciate this natural stop. It is the number 1 reason I am convinced that raw meats are a good component to my diet.

Eating less while on a raw omnivorous diet than on cooked diets is normal. I also began eating fewer calories per day, and have still steadily gained muscle mass. I've also shifted from eating three or four large meals per day to one or two meals per day, and sometimes go for a day or more without eating at all just because I don't feel hungry.

People who eat 811rv or mostly raw 811 eat fruit non stop.  Pretty much around the clock eating over 4000 calories and men STILL get rail thin and emaciated.  I'm just glad I don't have to center my day around eating each and every meal.

It's kind of weird right now I feel like I should be shoveling banana's down but I don't!  It's very nice I feel like I can divert my time and energy to other things that I did prior to 811.  I don't really want/need to lose weight since I'm hovering around 150 at 5'8" so I'm good there.  Its like I can finally have a life again lol.

I go through cycles. Generally, I eat a lot less in extremely hot weather, and when I'm getting less exercise.

Ya I'm kinda new to the non vegan part of raw, I'm just kind of going with the flow it's just something I've noticed over the past month.  Certainly not afraid of eating 3000+ calories, just kind of trying to do what feels right in the moment.  I'm sure there will be times when I eat a whole lot more than I am now since things tend to go in cycles.
