Raw butter grass fed
« on: March 02, 2012, 03:28:39 pm »
Will I be ok with just eating raw butter replacing cow fat? I love eating raw butter with raw honey. My favorite desert.

Many people will say it is fine.

I ate copious amounts of butter myself for a long time. Boy do I love butter.

Eventually I began to feel that it isn't natural for butter to be my main fat source like that.

No other animals eat like that.

It would be best if you could get a variety of fats if possible, but in a pinch, or for temporary periods butter is a great fat if you have to choose just one, so long as you're able to digest it.

Like DF said it's obviously not natural to be getting all your fat from dairy, that doesn't automatically make it bad, just keep an eye on it if that's what you're going to do and if you run in to trouble, keep that in mind as a cause.

Shall we discuss nothing then? Let's just close the forum, cuz it's all theory. Do you need a hug? Virtual hug coming at you!!

Topic moved to the primal diet.

Quite frankly, even by AV's theories, raw butter and raw honey should not be the main staple of the diet. Raw honey is just too upsetting to blood-sugar-related issues, and I find the mixture somewhat disgusting.

Isn't eating raw just a theory also?

I eat other fats such as raw egg, raw milk ,bone marrow and little animal fat. I am not sure how my body is digesting raw butter but I'll find out soon.

Yes, and it can be taken too far.

Of all nutritional principles, though, it's probably the most solid one ever taught, other than things like "Don't eat rat poison", etc..
