IGF-1; Is Raw Dairy Bad for You?
« on: March 17, 2012, 04:25:14 pm »
According to Dr McDougall; IGF-1 promotes growth of tissues / bodies; both good and bad tissues including cancerous tissues / cells.
According to him, when we're adults, we dont need IGF-1 because it promotes our growth whereas we want to decrease the production of this horome as much as possible because that will actually help promote our longevity. He also uses examples like how normally very tall people live less than their shorter counterparts and how small dogs actually live more than their bigger counterparts...etc

What do you think? I know i have read about plenty of people, some which are frequent posters over here who consume dairy daily by the gallons. Also some other pro-IGF-1 campaigners and body builders claim that IGF-1 is an important health modulator.

Where do you guys stand? For me, i am actually confused though i tbh, i am more leaning into believing McDougall's theory but i havent given the whole idea alot of research and thought.
