Native American tribe's health harmed due to PAH-intake

I have often mentioned the harm to human health done by polycyclic  aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) which are created by cooking as well as being  a known industrial pollutant, present in car-exhaust fumes and tar-pits etc. Here is a study which claims that the health of a particular Native American tribe was greatly harmed as a result of generations of absorbing PAHs from natural bitumen:-
