Magnets?
« on: November 07, 2008, 12:58:04 am »
I just found a magnet after rummaging around a cupboard. I'd used it for a few months, a long while back, and then somehow lost it until now. I very vaguely recall that I felt very slightly better when I used it(c.5-6 years ago), but that could have been due to the RPD diet or whatever. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone here uses magnets and what their reaction is as to their usefulness or lack, thereof?  I think the theory is that, by wearing the magnet on your chest, it's suppose to magnetically stimulate blood-flow around the heart, or something like that.

I am convinced that the use of magnets for health purposes is 100% junk science.  To my knowledge there has never been a well designed double-blind trial where the relief provided by magnets has been any better than placebo.
