It used to be the case that one could just avoid anything wrapped in plastic. Now we have to be double careful that the "skin" of a food isn't made of plastic and other engineered crap.

Calcium and algae don't sound too bad - but you're right Tyler - how long before the likes of the FDA say that certain plastics are "perfectly safe to eat". I think having organic produce with WAX all over it is unconscionable enough but things gets weirder and scarier by the day.

The thing that I'm worrying about is when they make it a law that all nuts, seeds, eggs and meat have to be pasteurized. I can see that one coming.
