Store bought fermented fish.

We got surströmming here in sweden. It's fermented fish. (You can check it out at wikipedia).
Comes in a can that you can buy at the supermarket. I wonder if this is any good to eat as high meat? Being canned and all maybe it takes away the good bacteria?

If it's heated to the usual temperatures during the canning process, then all the bacteria are dead.

I would avoid all canned foods. Normally, all canned foods have been extremely highly heated prior to canning to ensure absolutely all bacteria have been wiped out. Then there are the additives/preservatives usually added to the mix...
