Vitamins and Minerals

A little too complex for me, but for those of you who are so inclined, below is a link to a PDF file that details minimum recommended vitamin and mineral intake.  It gets pretty in depth, there is quite a bit of bio-chem involved, but I thought someone out there might enjoy.

When you consume an organism it loses individuality, but its biological life never ends.  Digestion is merely a transfer of its life to mine.

If one eats well, supplements are a waste of money.

Word.

I don't think they're promoting supplements, in fact they discuss how there is an upper limit for safe intake of each vit/min, but then state that when gotten from food sources, there is no upper limit, as the body will simply not absorb anything it doesn't need.

I think they're just examining the function of those various nutrients, potential deficiencies in various populations, and which foods are good sources of the various nutrients.
