Hey are all nuts in america sold pasteurized? I know almonds are but what about others I bought some cashews and walnuts that say raw from natural grocers and they were in the fridge when bought?

The pasteurized "raw" almond is a California regulation. Nuts grow all over the place, so you can always find fresh nuts in season in their shells and avoid the whole issue.

Ask "Natural Grocer" managers. They will get a reply for you from their mother company.

Pasteurized nuts should not be labeled as "raw." The raw almonds I get from Natural Grocer is from Spain I think.
