Kimchi good or bad for ecxema?

A family member tends to have ecxema flair up. Some writing says fermented vegetables are bad for excema, some writing says they help reduce inflammation.

A Korean friend is supplying me with home-made kimchi (Korean fermented napa cabbage and daikon radish with garlic and ginger and hot chili pepper and shrimps). Does anyone know if kimchi is good or bad for eczema?

The fermented component can be nice to add good bacteria.
If the person is allergic to cayenne, it may have a side effect.
All I can say is try it.

Put that person on raw paleo diet for 6 months and see what happens.

As an avid kimchi eater, I find that some kimchis cause inflammation, while others are no problem at all. Remember, there is no universal kimchi recipe. In fact, each kimchi has a different flavor because each fermenter uses different ingredients according to region and culture.

In addition, a person can be universally allergic to hot peppers, for example, so that person would probably get their hot-pepper reaction to all red kimchis.
